I almost thought one of my white boxer puppies from my first litter was going to be deaf. After looking around on line I found this...http://www.deafdogs.org/training/vibratrain.php...here is the list of collars they have....http://www.deafdogs.org/resources/vi...ers.php...here are other sites to help....

There are more, just look up "training collars for deaf dogs"

Good luck, I have seen a blind puppiy learn to find a cookie thrown on the floor in just a week.

How about "Buzz" since he will have a vibrating collar.

Your new baby is beautiful! I'm sure you can train him with love and compassion--there's nothing more lovely than a great dog.

How about Pugsly?

I like Pooh, Buster, Frito, Felix.
My dog's name is Taco Bella. She is a rescued dog, she has a bad front leg that she can't really use. She was so scared when we first got her, I think she was abused. The kids love to watch her run. They are amazed that a three legged dog can run so fast. lol
Good for you for taking in a deaf dog. We need more people like you.

We had two Bostons-- Zuess and Apollo Got both as brothers as pups Apollo was the runt and deaf Zuess wasn't perfect-ally marked :was the last out of litter of 9. We ended up with BOTH couldn't decide. Hubby wanted bigger more out going as was going to be for kids I fell for the timid, tiny one Reminded me of my son (very SHY) so got both and they were always touching while sleeping so deaf one never missed out on when You called them and at nite always used porch light and never had to open your mouth just flip switch couple times!! Was so glad we kept them together!! Off topic but love the name "Signal"

He is adorable and he will do just fine. Animals are so much more resiliant than we are. We have blind pugs and even have a blind deaf one right now. Nothing seems to slow these guys down.

How about Ranger?

I have put different scents around, one at the door to go out and potty, one at water dish etc. They learn where things are very quickly. Also, we have used hand signals for sit, stay etc. He will be fine...just fine.

I like Mike or Andy. However, because he is deaf I really think the chosen name should be KELLER ! Great choice.
