I currently am house keeper and cook for 3 cats, Matilda, Missy and Cleo. I am so wanting to get a dog again though.

sewbusy27 10-31-2011 03:10 PM

Two Cats here, Mr. Kitty, a 7 yr old Siamese. He's an indoor/outdoor cat. And Stinky, a 13 yr old Gray haired/green eyes. She is strictly an indoor cat. They are my buddys .. and spoiled rotten. I hollar can can, and they come running for their treat of a can of cat food.. it has to be sliced beef, won't eat anything else. I hollar Pouncie-Pouncie and they come running to a different room of the house for their Pouncies. And they won't eat anything but tarter control pouncies...very picky cats. And of course, I cater to their needs, there are things I don't like. Just tho't I'd share. They love to quilt with me.

Just wondering, what cat litter does everyone use? I can't find one that really makes me happy. I think I've tried it all.

Carron 10-31-2011 03:25 PM

norma Jean 10-31-2011 04:44 PM

I have two cats. They were feral seven years ago, and they still have trust issues.

malindaann 10-31-2011 04:47 PM

I am so excited that I may get my first cat in 25 years this weekend. I found the Tonkinise I was looking for -- a handsome blue point little boy. Will post a pic when I can

skaduzy 10-31-2011 04:49 PM

What is a tonk? Never heard of it? My cats sleep with me on my pillow too. I'll have to try the arm & hammer. do you change the litter box everyday? I scoop and try to get by a couple of days.
Kay

sammy89 10-31-2011 06:46 PM

I scoop twice a day in the morning I wipe the inside and outside from the top out with a allpurpase cleaner then scoop and wipe bottom just to I reach the litter inside then fill up a lil and in the night i just scoop. After wiping so and on the littermats infront of boxes I spray out with lysol, well family $ brand.U never smell anything and I have only 4 boxes for 10 cats no accidents I do it like that for 10 years

sammy89 10-31-2011 06:50 PM

We have two very spoiled dogs...Elvis, a yellow lab & SaraLee, a salt n pepper Cairn Terrier (think Toto from Wizard of Oz).

Our problem is that the dogs think they are human, and the cats think they are dogs...we won't mention the 3 chickens who think they are cats, and the ducks & geese. We sold our cows....no grass for them.
Interesting group of critters. Where is Littlefield? I live in Schertz.

I have 3 cats - all "adopted" while our granddaughter lived with us. Her "Grandma can we keep it" worked every time!

We now use only pine litter. We have used "regular" clay, chrystals, and now the pine. Our old man (the cat that is) had taken to using the carpet instead of the litter box. He has not had an accident since. It smells better too.

Quilting Angel 10-31-2011 08:21 PM

I have two dogs

After years of having horses, goats, dogs, rabbits, parakeets, cats and one white mouse named Dinky, I'm down to two cats...Tessa (left) and Phoebe. Tessa will lie down on command and Phoebe will sit. I used to train dogs for obedience trials and couldn't resist trying with these girls.

SusieQ54 10-31-2011 09:47 PM

I'd bet at least 70% have a cat. I have 2 cats (sisters) and one dog. I like cats and dogs equally, each has their own way of finding their way into your heart.

auntpiggylpn 11-01-2011 06:15 AM

4 cats - Scooter, Gertie, Clementine & Lily Pie
3 dogs - Ajaxx, BG & Cooper

Marvel 11-01-2011 07:12 AM

I have three fur babies.

MistyMarie 11-01-2011 02:36 PM

I have three... and one on loan to my sister. The one on loan is a GREAT mouser. We have three females. One is a siamese and her kitten, that is all gray with a white "diaper" on the lower belly. Our other is a black and white long-hair. I cannot imagine life without these critters.

misschrisfrmtx 11-01-2011 02:40 PM

Inherited a cat. His name is Fluffy
Martinez!?

sewnsewer2 11-01-2011 02:48 PM

two cats, three dogs, two goats a horse and a 55 gallon fish tank is that too much????

lizpatterson1 11-01-2011 05:09 PM

We have ten - 5 originals we acquired and 5 who were left behind by their owners AND one we feed outside. Ten is too many but what can we do. We will be moving to the country some time next year and it will be so much better for them.

dkabasketlady 11-01-2011 06:44 PM

I only have ONE cat for now, Tia, she's my Avatar pic! She loves to jump on my cutting table just as I'm getting ready to cut!! One of these days she may be a bobtail cat, I'm just saying!!

dettonlisas 11-01-2011 07:27 PM

I have only one cat at the time! She loves to hang out with me while I quilt!

doris.meek13088 11-01-2011 08:09 PM

You are the only quilter I have met that does not unless there is an alergy involved. I have two cats and a dog (black lab)

javin22 11-01-2011 09:10 PM

I had 5 for several years, now I just have one.

katigirl 11-02-2011 08:52 PM

or 4 emmeril, diamond, gizmo, and callie.

ShowMama 11-03-2011 06:14 AM

Currently I have three. Bitty and Willie are strictly inside cats and Jelly is strictly outside. Up until a couple of years ago I had 25-plus outside (live in the country), but the #@*%$! coyotes got them. I love cats and will never ever be without some in my life. I really miss my Striper, a black & brown striped tabby, who we lost about 4 years ago at the age of 19.

mochasue 11-03-2011 10:02 AM

I have 3 cats and 1 chocolate lab! One cat sits on my lap while I quilt or while I'm on the computer.

mochasue 11-03-2011 10:04 AM

Did I forget to mention that the cat also sits on my shoulders while I walk around!!!!! She pretty much is a "cling-on". If I really need to get something done, I have to put her outside. She goes on walks with me and maggie (the dog). She follows me everywhere.

teacherbailey 11-03-2011 01:29 PM

Five dogs and four cats. The crafting room is the only place in the house off limits to them so when I need a break from parenting the dog pack, I go hide out and hang out in there. You should hear the pitiful whimpering, whining and crying start!!!!
