Thanks for sharing--I passed this on to family and friends. Now just need to remember it next summer when the corn comes on the market! Thanks for sharing.

Neat idea for just a couple at a time. I wonder if you could blanche the corn in the husk in boiling water ,( like you do for tomatoes to remove the skin/peeling) and then try his removal method, hmmm. I think I will try this. I don't like cooking in the microwave, not to mention ,lol, it would take forever to do several bushel. :lol:Thanks for sharing.

I just got the site for this from a friend. Unique and looks very easy.

I have been freezing my corn for years by cutting off the stalk end leaving 1" of the stalk, putting the ears unshucked into a ziplock (usually 4 to a gallon bag) and freezing until use. No shucking, boiling, etc before freezing. They came out crisp as though they were fresh picked. Wonder how the microwave would work with this method? Maybe thaw halfway? My husband used to go pick some ears from his garden and pop in micro without shucking. They were the sweetest ears of corn ever! Too bad we didn't know this gentleman's method then.

Isn't that exactly what this gentleman did?? pop the ears in the microwave without shucking?

Sounds like a great idea to me.

Thanks for sharing this tip. I have never heard of this before. What a great method to use, and no picking out the silk pieces!

I wonder if the corn is cooked by that time, too?

Oh, wow! I love fresh corn, but have avoided it because I hate the mess of cleaning it. No more. Roadside stands, here I come!

I watched several of the other videos on how to shuck corn and the microwave method was certainly the easiest. Next time I buy corn I am going to try that.
