I quit smoking 6 weeks ago after struggling for years to quit. I tried everything. Finally my doctor gave me a prescription for Chantix. It works! I do have some side effects but nothing terrible: vivid dreams, constipation and gas. I don't know how this works exactly but it made quitting possible without suffering much. I thought I'd never be able to quit. :o

Oh I am so proud of you!!!!!! I too have battled this terrible addiction and know how hard it is . I hope you are going to get yourself something special with all the money you are saving :)

For the intestinal side-effects, try drinking more water. Taking an acidophilus supplement also helps the gut. :) The acidophilus may take a couple of weeks, before you see a difference, so don't give up on it.

I quit 15 years ago using Zyban. The best thing is after many years of heavy smoking, I have never once been tempted to go back. May you be as lucky as I am!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! My DD is trying. At least she says she is. Quit once, then started again. Don't let that happen to you!!! Great Job, you should be very proud of yourself.
