We would love to see your quilt, and we'll tell you what your quilt is, unbiased and lovingly.

It is very hard to live with others. You did great to keep it quite. God bless.

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is keep quiet. Better one fool in the house than two. Until you have your own place, it will be difficult. Your reaction is what will make all the difference. You cannot change her attitude, but you can control yours which is what you did.
Feel free to vent here. We who have had difficult MIL's, do understand. Someday you will be able to put this behind you and move on.

Sometimes silence is the best way to handle a situation but if snide remarks are made periodically because they know you won't respond back then you need to speak up. I learned this the hard way but now I would not be rude but I would not let some of the remarks made by my husbands aunts go unresponded to.
