This pattern is New Look 6880. As shirts go, it is pretty simple. I think Simplicity may also have some good ones. I think Simplicity has the best instructions (especially anything marked "Easy to Sew" or the "It's So Easy!" line) of the big 4 pattern companies (Butterick, SImplicity, Vogue, and McCalls) but Kwik Sew also tends to have VERY well-explained instructions (although I haven't tried any of their boys' shirt patterns). They're just harder to find for cheap.

If you really do want to sew kids clothes, feel free to PM me! I have all kinds of sewing advice to give.

I love it..... when I look at it I can still see those sweet outfits on my little boys :D

I am planning to do that! I have one from last year that he outgrew.

Aw, he is just so cute, and the shirt fits him perfectly! Don't feel bad about not making it a size up so he'll grow into it. That may be the practical thing to do, but he deserves shirts that fit him just right, right now, too.

Cute little boy and cute shirt. I sewed clothes yr.s ago, not anymore. I just sew quilts and I like that much better, not much worry about sizes and fit.
Good for you.

What a handsome little guy!

I'm making my son a pair of boxer shorts out of material with shooting flames and skulls on it - only because I've never made boxer shorts and wanted to try a pattern out. He's 29! I'm going to stick them in his Christmas stocking.

very nice, I remember when I was little my Grandmother and Mom would make us clothes. I loved them. I never got into that, but my daughter wants to make clothes, well she wants to design clothes.
