Dont for get to remove the baseboards and check for water there. Spray with bleach or something to discourage the mold from growing. HUGS

Thanks, I mentioned the same thing to my hubby last night and he didn't think it was neccesary...so I will take them off myself. If I don't, they won't be taken care of.
Still doing some more laundry...doing a comforter again...I hope that this time does it...I really don't want to toss. I have it hanging in the sunlight in the yard right now.

Oh Susie (((HUGS))) I wish that I lived closer too! (((HUGS)))

Will DH help once you start on the baseboards
Did you solve the mystery smell in the closet?

so sorry to hear about your flooding, lots of extra work and expense for you

also during a thunderstorm if you rub a piece of unscented dryer sheets on back of dogs neck, it calms them down, my friend has 3 big dogs and she does it to them, and now they are calm

DH will "help"...won't like it, but will finish it...
Still not sure why it still stinks...I have emptied it and washed it down again...I think I will have to disinfect it straight out of the bottle, then rinse.
I wonder if I could just haul the hose in here and just hose the place down?

I don't know why not Susie, let the sump pump help with the clean up :D:D:D

Susie, I was reading about your flooding while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. We arrived home Sat. morning, I noticed a water line on DH's car. We checked it out and yep there was water in the car. The neighbors said the road flooded with over a foot of water. Luckly we live on a hill and the sump pump did it's job. The car sounds a little strange.
And after using the wet vac on the carpet, twice, it is still damp. Not good. He is on vacation and will have it checked out tomorrow.

Awww Deb...that stinks...I hope that the car dries out OK.
The flooding was really awful around here....and by you...it is raining nearly every day. What's with that ???
Mom and Dad didn't get any water, but most of there neighbors did...so the neighbors are all getting flood control like M & D. So, Dad's entertainment is watching the guys did pits in the lawns...the guy next door went with a cheap company, his guys are digging by hand. Across the street, they have a backhoe. Every time that I talk to him...I get the update. lol

I have a feeling that this house has had water in the basement before. It has a really good sump pump with back up if the power goes out. It has a ditch on one side. You can tell in the back yard there was a lot of water. All the mulch is moved from one part.
The weather is crazy. My Mom is in Indianapolis and they need the rain so much. We keep getting it.
