This is the first I have heard of these. Thank you for making them. I had a mastectomy last year & the prostheses
I received, even with insurance, still cost me a lot. And it is so heavy that I have been trying to make my own. These look really great. |
These look nice for those needing this. So nice of you to make these. :)

It is wonderful that you make these. One of the local shops does this. I don't knit but these look like a good idea. Thanks for all of the charity work that you do.

wow, what a nice project....thank you.

Nan you amaze me with all your "good work". What a wonderful gift for someone who needs it. thank you!

What a good person you are! Quilters find so many ways to help those in need or crisis. Nice work!

I so much appreciated these when I had my mastectomy. My prosthesis weighed at least five pounds My shoulder hurt after wearing it for one day. And you could take out a little fluff if needed and add if needed. Stewarts Caring Place had them for the women to choose from. Thanks so much for making these for women like me.

Thanks for all the kind comments. And it so nice to hear that some of you have been able to use these instead of those heavy prostheses. I think I heard that the national office send out 1000 of these per month!

What a great organization! I saw on their website that you can also crochet them if you don't know how to knit. They have a pretty extensive website with the patterns & videos, etc. on the site. Here's a link:
