Got rid of mine 3-4 years ago. Never used it and don't miss the bill that's for sure. lol.

Canceled my land line about six years ago. Haven't missed it all.

My 81 year old mother lives with me, and she wants a land line, so we're keeping ours.

We still have a land line. We get horrible cell service at home. So until the cell service gets better we have to keep our land line.

ha, ha. i've been without a land line phone or portable ones for two days. the phone company man showed up today and fixed a bad line on the telephone pole.
i'm back in business. i have a cell phone but it's for car emergencies mostly. |

Remember the huge power outage in the NE a few years back? All cell phones couldn't work. Evidently, the connections to the satellites need power! It was really a change for many of our younger folks who live on their mobiles.

I just read in Reader's Digest 27 % of homes do not have a land line. 23 % intend to get rid of existing one. What is really odd about the article is that 47% of people think it is rude to call them, and they would prefer to convert voice mail to text! wow.
Apparently people don't want to be bothered with "people" any more. |
