Literally, bats and quilts

A local visitor had the good taste to choose my bunny quilt to rest on while trying to figure out how in the world it got itself into my bedroom. I'd like to know too! Spent an hour dodging me and DH until it was caught in a bucket with a quilting magazine for a cover and put outside.

Always finding new ways to use quilting tools!:D

Dh checks our attic for the little critters no matter what. I hate anything flying at me.

Nanny's dollface 09-07-2015 03:16 PM

It's the Quilting Police doing undercover work! However, she could not find anything wrong with the bunny quilt! It's gorgeous!!

RedGarnet222 09-07-2015 03:23 PM

OMG!! I would absolutely freak! It did have good taste to slumber on your cute quilt though.

redquilter 09-07-2015 03:31 PM

Love that quilt. I guess he did too! Ugh! Those things give me the creeps.

Jeanne S 09-07-2015 04:10 PM

Yikes too! But so glad you were able to catch it and put it back outside without harming it!

nativetexan 09-07-2015 04:41 PM

Oh that's scary. Be careful, it could be ill and have rabies. One can't tell if the bat has bitten or not. like a mosquito bite. So watch out.

Tweety2911 09-07-2015 06:48 PM

Beautiful bunny quilt. Eeeeek to the bat though:D

notmorecraft 09-07-2015 11:11 PM

I would have run screaming, I love the quilt

QM 09-08-2015 01:56 AM

Yes, the bat had good taste in quilts.
I had one get caught in the lining of my jacket once. It was unclear which of us was more alarmed.

regm 09-08-2015 02:56 AM

Like pics of cats on quilts better.

ManiacQuilter2 09-08-2015 05:23 AM

All I can think of it YIKES! Found a lizard one day sunny himself on my bed.

Homespun 09-08-2015 05:29 AM

Glad he could be freed...lovely quilt he was checking out!

luvstoquilt 09-08-2015 06:24 AM

I vote for "Yikes", but the bat has good taste. I love your Bunny quilt.

Bluebonnets 09-08-2015 06:53 AM

Lovely quilt! I like bats...from a distance...but not in my house! I lose all dignity and my reasoning goes in full panic mode. Congrats to you for getting it out without hurting yourself or it.

FabStripper 09-08-2015 06:57 PM

I would of been so startled and dumbfounded! I think I'd have to move.

cathyvv 09-08-2015 07:19 PM

It was just hanging out!

heather1949 09-08-2015 07:33 PM

Beautiful quilt, glad you caught your visitor :)

Grandma Peg 09-08-2015 08:46 PM

Oh my goodness, such a horrible little creature. We get them once in awhile too and am so scared of them. Great quilt.

heather1949 09-08-2015 10:58 PM

I love your Rabbits, they are so cute :)

miriam 09-09-2015 03:14 AM

I would have to wash the quilt....

LooksLater 09-09-2015 03:28 AM

Eeek! I would have completely lost it, I am so afraid of those things...

Hahahahhah! ^^THIS.

Kayaker26 09-09-2015 03:51 AM

I'd have to burn the quilt...possibly move out of the house. I am so creeped out by bats!

quilterpurpledog 09-09-2015 03:54 AM

It shows that the bat has great taste in choosing its place of rest! Your cute is so cute. I do know that bats can get through the tiniest of places. They are interesting critters to say the least-but better suited to the outdoors!

quilter2theend 09-09-2015 04:34 AM

Oh, those things make my skin crawl!!! Glad you got it out of the house. Beautiful bunnies though.

soozieQ 09-09-2015 04:54 AM

Love your bunnies!. We've had 2 bats this summer, they always come flying in when I'm sleeping. They say just sit and wait until they land, its much easier to "bag" them then. I think ours came in the chimney which is wired now

Roberta 09-09-2015 05:03 AM

One flew down the chimney in our house years ago and scared the daylight out of our Greyhound. Poor Jenny B came to me for protection :-)

lindaschipper 09-09-2015 05:42 AM

Heavens and Yikes at the same time!! Never have liked bats, but I do like bunnies!!

Bubbie 09-09-2015 06:47 AM

The bunnies are about the same size. Maybe he was looking for some new friends!! Love the quilt

Serianas 09-09-2015 06:50 AM

I loooooove bats! something about their fuzziness thats just so adorable! love the quilt too :)

Karamarie 09-09-2015 07:00 AM

literally, bats & quilts

Those things rank right up there with snakes as creatures I really, really dislike. I would have went flying out of the house and not went back until that creature was gone. Geez!!!

Carol34446 09-09-2015 07:10 AM

I was raised with a neighbor and his snakes and spent time at Carlsbad caverns NM and so like bats, very interesting critters. So happy you got it back outside, thank you for doing that. Quilt is adorable and I am sure he liked it too.

leaha 09-09-2015 07:17 AM

Oh I
Love the little bats so look like a dragon up close had one that got in our cabin land on my chest told dh to open door and turn on out side lights when he did the little guy took off and went on out, lol

fxsts93kf 09-09-2015 08:36 AM

Awwww! I grew up with bats on the farm. They would come out at night and fly around our property. Though you do have to be careful with them, I'm glad you could catch and release safely. It knew that your beautiful quilt was the perfect place to roost!

briskgo 09-09-2015 08:53 AM

takes forever to get those things caught and released
