Getting ready for my cross country trip in September and I am going packed light and in style!!
I ordered a brand new Chopper today and it is going to be shipped mid August. I will still have to paint the tins (tank and fenders) but other than that it will be done. I spent a little more than I really wanted but after owning a Choppers Inc bike for 3 months last year I had to have another! I still have no idea as to what color I will paint it but it will be some type of a Candy paint with either flames or a heavy metal flake. I did however change up a few things like I got a different set of pipes, and all of the satin finished parts will be polished out so it should gleam!!! But it will give me a week to paint them and ride it for a week to get used to it and I will be burning up the road for a month!! Anyway here is the link to the bike I am getting...... http://www.exilecycles.com/index.php?section=20 Billy |
Enjoy the freedom, good looking bike.

Don't forget the rain gear! (My DH and I used to be in the motorcycle business - aftermarket stuff, etc - traveled the country attending rallies....) I will have me a Mexican blanket with a spare set of shorts and a underwear rolled up in it wedged between the seat and rear fender. If not then I will tie it to the riser somehow but I will buy my clothes as I go and just mail them back home so they can be washed. Other than that I will have my camera and my iphone in my pocket. When I say pack light I do mean pack light!! Billy Billy |

Grand Canyon Dodge City Bonneville Salt Flats Ride the PCH The Grand Tetons Mount Rushmore The Pacific Ocean Pikes Peak Garden of the Gods Mount St Helens The Peterson Museum (all of the legendary hot rods are there) The Sequoias YellowStone I am still writing them down and them I have a big map that I will push pins into and figure out a travel route that will hit most of the sites I want to see. But I want to drink coffee in Seatle, eat chili in Texas, park my bike on Rodeo drive and hit a few shops and see what the fuss is and just completely veg out and have fun!! There are a few car shows and rod shops I want to hit and if I can pull it off I want to go see Jay Leno's Garage!! I have a friend that works for Socal Speed Shop that knows Jay really well and if he can arrange it I will be able to see his cars and the working shop. But it is one of those deals that our schedules have to coincide with each other for it to be able to work. And I want to see if I can meet up with a lot of my quilting and sewing machine friends I have made since I have been a member!!! There has got to be some quilt shows going on and flea markets that we can hit!!! Billy |
'bout time... :)

Nice bike Billy - not much beats the riding experience!
Now that IS riding light! Good grief, I'm doing good to limit my stuff to one saddlebag. Since you'll be in the business of mailing stuff home, you'll be in good practice for mailing home quilting treasures you find along the way. Enjoy the tour! |
