I ALWAYS DO,AND CANNOT STAND WHEN PEOPLE BURP ESPECIALLY LOUD AND DON'T HAVE THE GUTS OR CURTISE TO SAY THANK YOU.MY BLESSED MIL MAKES ME SO MAD SHE NEVER SAYS EXCUSE ME AFTER BURPING I HAVE TOUGHT MY DAUGHTER TO ALWAYS SAY THANK YOU AND EXCUSE ME SHE IS NOW 25.MY MIL IS 72.

My children were raised to be mannerly. I told them they can take their manners wherever they go and it will be noticed. I work in retail, and one thing I have noticed is the elderly are more likely not to say excuse me and thank you. This is quite a surprise.
