They ARE - we have discovered that you can't have both (flowers and wildlife) so we have opted for the wildlife and just let the native plants grow to feed them ..........

I just love the deer...I have them around my place. They are the most graceful creatures. Love to see them jump the fence. This morning there was an owl sitting out in the pasture. I got out of the car to gaze at him. Was hoping he'd be around when I came back from my errands but he was gone..I'll hopefully see him again with camera in hand. =)

Your deer are gorgeous...I so miss "my" deer... :(
We use to have a doe with twins come every year and graze in our yard and the fawns would rest under the trees closest to our deck.

Diana Lynne 07-29-2011 05:04 PM

When my husband alive, we had a house surrounded by woods, and frequently, deer would pass by our deck in the morning. It was so beautiful. I really miss that place! Thank you for sharing the pictures! They are lovely!

slk350 07-29-2011 08:19 PM

luv2so 07-30-2011 02:59 AM

How beautiful.

We have motion sensor lights on the back of our house. One night last summer they came on, so I got up to look out to see what turned them on.

We had three big females right next to the house. If I had been downstairs and opened the window I could have just reached out and touched them. Of course I got my granddaughter up to see them. They stayed for a short while, munching on my flowers while here, then just meandered off if different directions.

We also had an armadillo in the yard one morning. To be honest, I had no idea there were armadillo in Ga. I'm from the suburbs of Chicago, I know we don't have them up there!

Camping Betty 07-30-2011 03:11 AM

yes me too. the darling deer ate the tops from my plants and trees. wondered why they were not growing!
(the plants not the deer.)
