What will they think of next???

I heard this was a tradition of the early coal miners who lived in small company houses and had no place to hide the children's gifts, so they put them on top of the upside down tree.

There was an article in last Sunday's paper about a family here who has been doing this since their oldest son was 2 y.o. - over 50 years! And now all the kid's and their kid's hang their trees with special brackets mounted in the ceiling. I think it would be really neat, once I got used to it. Maybe I should try it with our foot tall tree (just DH & I)!

The first upside down tree I ever saw was done by an old lady that ran an antique furniture in my town. She used pearls and lace in white and pearl pink. It was fablous. People came from miles around to see it. You is beautiful and I love all the Santas.
