So for my entertainment I am taking 3 books. They are by the author Jennifer Chiaverini and they are all quilt themed books. I can't be expected to go cold turkey all at once ,can I? Plus I'll have my laptop to look you guys up and see what is going on.

Hey, you can always go shopping for fabric!!!!!

I bet you end up buying some fabric, and pattern for hand quilting and some needles & thread before the end of the 2nd week. LOL.

3 books for 2 weeks? Unless you're a very slow reader, you might want to take a few more than that, or plan on buying some along the way. Unless you're one of those unfortunate people who can't read in a moving vehicle.

Clare O'Donohue also has two quilt themed books "The Drunkard's Path" and "The Lover's Knot".

Even if you don't take a machine, I'd suggest taking some handwork. Cold turkey is not a pretty sight!

Be sure to visit some LQS and pick up some lovely fabric while you're RVing around. Have a great vacation.

Forget taking something! Buy a cute kit on the way!

Read if you want, do some birdwatching, learn about the trees around you, the wildflowers(if any), study insects, you get the picture. Why do we alway's feel like we have to be doing something? I absolutely LOVE your advice!! Everyone ought to do this on a regular basis. Extremely healthy and terribly underrated. Folks tend to forget the definition of this Latin word meaning "vacating, leaving, freedom and release from duty - literally to be empty of.."

We are so into DOING and not just BEING.

Enjoy,

My girlfriend and I love bus tour trips and take them as often as possible since we are both widowed. No responsibilities at home. We often have a few of the same people on these trips and they laugh at both of us because we never go without handwork. I might knit or crochet and Jean the same. There are also several others on the bus that do the same. Some of our trips are two or three days traveling to our destination.

I usually make knitted premie hats for the local hospital.
