Wow, didn't know an umbrella could be made, other than commercially. Great job

Gorgeous umbrella, love those colors.

During WWII, my mom made umbrellas for us and others. She had gotten some parachute silk from somewhere and used it. I was a little alarmed to see bloodstains on some of the fabric, though.

LIke Maxwell house coffee, good to the last drop. I am so bad.

Some steampunkers are making wonderful parasols.

That’s beautiful. Do you use an old frame or are “blanks” available?

Blanks are used and a special pattern to fit that frame was drafted by the teacher...Judy Gauthier...she has a shop on Etsy...our guild paid her to come down here and teach some classes....

Cute umbrella. Here in PNW we don’t use umbrellas unless it is pouring.

Well, that's a new one on me! I didn't know you could make an umbrella. It's gorgeous, LilaKay!

I made my son come and look at your lovely umbrella. He didn't know people could make their own!
