I don't have a dress but I do have a couple of skirt suits that I keep "just in case". I think it might be at least ten years since I've actually worn a skirt and even longer since I've worn a pair of heels.
My idea of dressing up these days is wearing a t-shirt or sweat shirt that doesn't have dog performance sports printed on it. :) How times change!! |
do not think men should wear a tie when sewing........will maybe a bowtie, but they only look good with a tuxedo

I'm screwed! I never wear make up anymore and surely not at home when I'm sewing. I have on the most comfy clothes I can find to heck with what they look like. Ain't nobody dropping my house anyway, and the hubby has seen the best and worst after 28yrs so he don't really care just as long as I don't get ahold of the remote!!!!!!!! lol

That explains why my Mother (age 90) never leaves her bedroom without her lipstick.

The only time getting "dolled up" or housework comes before quilting is in the dictionary.

So glad to learn that I am not the only one to sew in "casual attire". It's great to be able to just be comfortable and not bother dressing some days. Caution, it can become a bad habit or sign of depression, but every now and then, it's great.

Thanks for the laugh. Now I know why I make mistakes.

There is an NCIS episode that took up this very subject. Tony thought he was in heaven!

This is so funny, when I got my 1st FW I read this in the manual and thought it must be a joke.
I don't own a dress and if I was all put together in my sewing room, my husband would think I had been on the computer all day! |
It's a wonder the arts of sewing and quilting ever survived! I think that if someone comes by unannounced and finds me sewing while having a pajama day that next time they will call first.
