There go the sweats, long robes, holey jeans, and the many other "quilting outfits" I have. Darn, they were just getting broke in!

I don't own a dress, either.

Well, no wonder I'm no good at sewing garments!! They never taught us that in Girl Scouts. I'll be sure to pass on this sage advice to my friends with daughters. We don't want them growing up so uninformed, now, do we?

Since my dresses are Renfaire costumes made of tapestry or other heavy fabric with long sleeves and bodice that laces up I believe I'll pass on wearing one of them while sewing! Now I MIGHT consider wearing one of the peasant blouse/tiered skirt outfits...ummm, nope don't want the skirt getting caught in the wheels of my chair. Guess I'll just have to stick to my jeans or capris and a t-shirt.

Is this for real? Really, dress up to sew!!
I live in the woods in the boonies. If someone comes here (and yes they have at times) it is usually the man filling our gas tank, or a delivery (fed ex, ups) that don't come to the door. I don't care if they see me as I am in my slouchy clothes because that is what I sew in. something comfortable.
Where are the instructions telling men to dressup to work in the woodshop? or the garage?

Must confess to wearing make-up...one of the first things I do when I get up. My worst nightmare scenario would be running out of eye-liner (aging Goth....what can you do???), as for the rest - forget it.....cut off jeans, old shirt and that's about it.... frequently leave the house covered in thread and my dining room table is currently piled with fabric and clothing for a pending quilt. Probably a dismal failure now at the whole "perfect wife" thing....back then I would've ended up firmly on the shelf (or locked up!):).

Oh boy am I in trouble! I love my jammies for sewing, and the added jewelry of hanging threads.
