My 18 month old baby boy figured out how to take off diaper and wee wee all over his bed and the floor!!! Guess who isn't a happy momma!!!

Kids will be kids.

Oy!

I know I shouldn't laugh but... boys can do funny things. I know, I raised one. He's 31 and still cracks me up sometimes.

Yosamitesa...when my kidlet went though that stage I used duct tape on the diaper tabs. Take a length and wrap to the back. He won't be able to get the tape off but you can. Just don't join the ends at the back. When it was suggesed to me I poo-pooed (no pun intended) the idea, However, after spending the day wiping up, using Nature's Miracle and washing toys and clothes I got desperate. It works. :) |
Ha ha!!!

Boys will be boys (rofl).

I can't answer that question. I only had girls. My sister now she had 6 boys and no girls.!!! But I can remember some of the things they did.
This one time her second boy was 2 years old. And she used to buy Shasta soda pop in these flat boxes there was like 24 cans in each one. She had 4 of these flats of different flavored soda. She put them in this closet that didn't have a door but just a curtain she hung up. He was sleeping in a little toddler bed by this time I suppose he was closer to 3 years old at the time. He got up out of bed and decided he wanted a "pop" so he helped himself to a "pop". Only thing is......he opened EVERY SINGLE ONE of those cans of pop and poured them out on her carpet in front of that closet and thats what my sister woke up to that morning. So boys will do funny things as I know girls do too. lol (They were pull tab cans) |

Another time, he stuffed coffee beans up his nose. My mom found out when he sneezed them into the bathtub. My nephew started to dig a hole in his wall when his mom told him that NO, you will NOT have a staircase to your room from outside. He also got a little lazy and peed in the corner by the closet. How much worse can it get? HA! .....but you'll laugh about all of it some day. |
Not to be a party pooper, but it can get much worse.
I have 2 boys, 17 months apart, and the craziness that ensues. BTW, the cleaning of the pee does not get any better. Once they get potty trained, then you have the added bonus of cleaning the pee from the bathroom. :) It took me 6 weeks to figure out how the pee was getting on the doors of the vanity that is across from the toilet. <shakes head> LOL |
Lol!!! Well I know when my stepson was 8 I caught him peeing in the trashcan because it was easier to hit.
|
i think all kids it a few times
|
Now just show him the toilet and tell him to do the same thing :)
|
When my second son was about a year old, he figured out that handy little trick. I started putting his pajamas and diapers on backwards. He looked funny, but couldn't reach his back to unzip.
|
Thats too funny my baby did that a few months back, diaper in one part of the crib, pee in another and baby in another. She was a happy camper, look what I can do!!!
|
Boys will be boys!! I have 3 sons and this sounds like some of the things they did. All 3 like to "moon" me. They are adults and that is one sight I can do without.
|
LOL LOL LOL -oh---the stories I could tell about my two boys-and my sister's two boys!!! Just accept anything they do, others have done before them, so it must be ok!! My grandfather use to tell my Mom, "Anything those kids do to you--YOU'VE GOT COMING!" I'll use that on my boys when they have their own kids (which I am STILL waiting for!)

Oh and it is a boy thing. My boys, I could tell you tales that would curl your hair. LOL |
My FIL taught my DS, when at the farm, that if you had to pee you just went where you were. So in town when he was out playing he would just go in the yard. Got him broke of that, then started peeing out his bedroom window. The urine stains on the house were a dead giveaway.
I does get worse. There's the jumping off the garage roof, the broken windows, the hill jumping with his bike, the concussions, the knocked out teeth, etc, etc, and so on. All this goes on until they get their drivers license.... |
When my little one figured out to get his diaper off....we used a small piece of duct tape to keep the tabs in place...and he could not get it off again....Did that until he was potty trained...
|
LOL first it was leaning to get the diaper off then playing with his little cars in the doo doo mud bogging! I also used duck tap and backwards pajamas!! Boys are an interesting bunch! I had 5
|
I had twin sons (they are 32 now) who were born seven weeks early. They were a handful to take care of at first since they were preemies, but for some silly, idiotic reason I just kept thinking it would get better, say when they were six weeks old, then it would be better when they were a year, and on and on and on. It didn't get better just changed with their ages. It was very nerve wracking when they started driving, sad when they left for college, and exciting when the first GC was born. It just goes on for a lifetime and you never stop worrying about them.
|
LOL! Been through it many years ago! All 3 of mine liked to take theirs off when there was a little more than wetness! Lil Stinkers!
|
We had three sons..the oldest 2 were 14 months between each other. When the boys were 4 and 5.. we had a wedding gift opening at a hotel with a swimming pool...someone comes into the hall and says..there are two cute little kids in their undies swimming..yup..our sons... they decided to swim with the group that rented the pool for drills.
|
oops sorry... double post...
|
Whew...no more excitement tonight. ;)

You should be happy Momma---my great grand daughter, 20 mos, learned how to remove a "dirty" diaper...Mom caught her, quite quickly, but "there was nothing in it"????? She looked in all the obvious places (to her) and found nothing. A couple days later, with a lingering smell in the bedroom, she proceeded to look for what was causing the stink...as Anna toddled around the room she asked "Pie Mommy"? And when Mommy looked, she was taking the "lost deposit" out of the kitchen set, in a plastic pie pan!!!!!
|
OMG!!! Ewww...thank you. ;)

One hint that sounds crazy is to teach him to pee on a tree outside. They think this is great fun and potty train very quickly this way. I know you think I am nuts, but all my boys potty trained easily and happily and early this way! (Just watch out in public places when you have to get them to the potty b/f they pee in public!) |

Someday, this will be a precious memory. Someday. :/
|
Oh yes, my grandson when first potty trained decided it was just too funny to pee in my flower bed...in the front yard...I live in a subdivision...no matter that neighbors were out and cars passing by!! And don't dare try to tell them to "hold it" so they don't spray everywhere...it's just too much fun to stand at potty and let "it" do its thing!! LOL

Thankfully it was just wee. My youngest one, the innocent beauty on the left in the avatar picture, was a paint artist. That is all I will say about that. Try putting one of those sleepers or sleeper bags on back wards and his diaper too. Some people duck tape their little ones into their diapers. Lets hope he doesn't get into painting too.
