Thank you for clarifying regarding the shoes on a yard of fabric. I would buy it that way.

I'd want to have a paper pattern.

Applique. I'd do one for fusible or needle turn. I don't paint.

I'd say under $15. I charge under $7 for my patterns and in each pattern I offer at least 10 different images. I'd also say offer reverse images for the pattern pieces, especially if you want to offer them up for fusible applique too.

I agree with Jennifer22206. Will anxiously watch to see what happens next. Would so love to buy this pattern.

I LOVE your quilt! Since I paint a little, I'd prefer to paint the shoes (I'm a better painter than "appliquer!" I kinda like the 9" block with sashing. What would REALLY be special is the option to paint or applique, and maybe even the pre-printed option, although that might be a little too much like "cheater cloth". You could do a whole line out of this one quilt!

I once made a Rooster quilt out of pre-printed blocks, in your terminology... a cheater quilt. It was a cute quilt and my friend loved it. But THIS is a different situation. First and foremost, the printed fabric will be made from my original hand painted designs. The colors are just like the ones I painted. Instead of thinking of it as a cheater quilt, why not think of it as a base to embellish and do wonderful quilting designs around each shoe??? It would become your own based on what you did to dress up the shoes. Then there's the choice you would personally make for the sashing and border fabrics. ALL of those things make it no longer a "cheater" quilt! I have also designed a black and white fabric that will be great as the borders or sashing. My sample of that is on it's way...
Gosh, I feel like I am trying to convince y'all to down the road purchase a panel of the nine shoes. People jump in to these discussions and a lot of time don't read it from the top. If they did they would understand that the printed panel would be in full color...not black and white to use as a pattern... I am just trying to accomodate all the requests from people who would like to make one like mine, but lack the confidence to paint each of the shoes...

[quote=thimblebug6000]To add to my previous thoughts, no I wouldn't go out and purchase fabric with the shoes printed on it, ---------------------------------------------------
I would. I would. I would love to have this lovely patterns already made up for me. Just let me know when.

I googled shoe application patterns and got a few sites with free patterns so you might want to do a little 'searching' to see the comparison.

I definitely don't have the talent to paint the shoes. However, if it were within my budget I might purchase pre-painted squares or 'prints'. Seems like someone mentioned on the board the other day that she has her paintings professionally printed on fabric. This might be something to look into. who knows, maybe you'll wind up designing a fabric line!

I have an acrylic template for the actualy shoe already that came with instructions "emblish as desired". I have made a few but don't applique well so I'd choose fabric painted.

I would like a book with all your shoe patterns......$15-20
