I have a paypal question - do you need a special type of account to receive money from a buyer, or can anyone send money to a regular (not business) paypal account? I have some stash I have been thinking about selling...
Thanks!

Thanks!

I just had a regular account set up through my bank account. I opened a bank account specifically for ebay sales back when I use to sell on that site.

I think I upgraded mine to premier to allow me to transfer a larger amount of money each month from my paypal to my bank...but you don't need to do that.

USPS Flat Rate includes delivery confirmation, I thought? I use this all the time, and I get emails from the PO when the packages are delivered.

I no longer use Paypal as someone got my password and transfered money out of my account! I managed to get it fixed (took 3 days) but it scared me.

As a seller, I don't mind the fees paypal charges. You can print shipping label and pay for the postage out of your paypal account, but not when purchasers send gift funds.

Domestic USPS Flat Rate envelopes do have delivery confirmation. But Flat Rate envelopes sent internationally do not have any tracking information or delivery confirmation available.

Ah, gotcha. I just reread your post, and totally missed the 'international' the first time. Apologies!

I am a senior who has been using computers on a daily basis since DOS. I pay my bills, do my banking online and order many things online BUT I'll be d*&%^* if I am going to start messing with Pay Pal! If I want to buy something and the only option to pay is with Pay Pal...I won't buy the item. I get email invoices when I pay by credit card. You can get limited use credit cards and ones that are good for only one purchase so what is the point of messing around with one more thing for which I must keep track? I just don't understand why I should use it...it has no advantages that I am aware of over the use of a credit card.

I can beat that 50 cent pack of gum, yer frugalness.
I go to our post office, and buy a stamp, use card, get $100 or whatever I want [but ask if they have it first], and then it's free, cuz I use the stamp eventually!
