Save your empty spools,paint the spool part where the thread goes.

It would be a good use of old spools of thread; especially the cheap spools of thread that come with those little sewing kits.

You could maybe tread the spools onto a pipe cleaner & glue the pipe cleaner to the wreath. I'd use the wreath pictured as a raffel prize.

That was my thought! I have tons of old thread I'll never use! I think that wreath is cute for the right person!! I would add things like seam rippers, thimbles etc-all usable and get them when they are 50% off the notions wall!

That's a really good idea. I love the wreath, but embroidery thread would be expensive. All purpose thread might not be so costly.
