Was at Jo-Ann yesterday and saw the most peculiar -- and IMHO -- ridiculous project sheet. It was for an adorable wreath covered with maybe 40-50 spools of embroidery thread and embellished with a cute pin cushion and tape measure bow. I thought, what a great raffle prize that would make! Then I read the instructions. You're supposed to HOT GLUE the thread to the styrofoam base! Can you imagine???? That's one expensive wreath!

Sounds like it would be a waiste of thread to me!

Absolutely, and thread is not cheap. Maybe if you tied it on ...

YEAH!!! I am not the only one who that WHAT THE HECK! I said to my GF who in their right mind would be 100 bucks worth of premium thread on a wreath like that.

Sounds like a great project to boost Joanne's bottom line...LOL

Here is something similar. With this one, the spools are threaded onto the faux branches, and fully removable. Still, blah.

I think I would take a pin or staple gun to hold
items on so they could be used later on.

nativetexan 09-16-2011 06:34 AM
