We use to have a Rhodesian Ridgeback. The best dog we ever had. About broke our hearts when we had to put him down. I'd like to have another one but right now we're "animal poor".

I have a chihuahua/dachs mix that kept me sane while my DH was in Iraq. She enjoys going to the lake fishing with him, and can be hard to be w/o her.

I have a mutt that I adopted from the local shelter
he was a skinny 40 pound lab/rot/? mix - I was told he was 1 1/2 years old. So I took him home, he has such a handsome face. Within the first year, this 1 1/2 year old dog put on ov er 100 pounds. So I doubt he was 1 1/2 years old at the time of his adoption. He was a GREAT champion for my mom. This was back in 2004. My "baby" finally stopped growing at 170 pounds. He's a BIG ball of fur!!! His size scares people, but his is just a great big teddy bear!! LOL
PS My picture of him is when I had him for 6 months and saw the growth, so I took him for training.

Sammy has a "darnolecat" that she barely tolerates. My granddaughter called her Baby when we first got her, and the name stuck!

Relaxing with papa in the recliner.
