Okay -- first you should know...I HATE going out at night. I don't like it, I refuse for the most part. Something from childhood, I guess. A neighbor said to look up "LaPine, Big Foot" on the internet....yip, someone reported him not far from my house. SOOOO now last night DH puts his camera on a tri-pod and takes a picture of the yard. If you look really close right in the middle you see eyes.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nope, I'm NOT going out there....he says it's a squirrel....but squirrels don't usually go out at night......... (the picture shows up much better on my computer -- but you can barely see them here).....I just had to share....LOL

sharon b 12-20-2010 08:45 AM

I see the eyes. Beautiful pic. Think of this watching over you not spying on you.

amma 12-20-2010 09:43 AM

Looks too far spaced to be a squirrel to me LOL Find any footprints out there? :D:D:D

newquilter10 12-20-2010 09:44 AM

I see it too but am sure there is a logical explanation.

LOL Lots of footprints....the squirrels and quail have been eating at the feeders. Also, DH's footprints when he's filling the feeders. OOOOHHH!!! I wonder if he put his camera on delay and went out there to scare me????????????????????????????????????? hmmm I'll have to sneak in and see how long the delay is on the camera. LOL

What??? Bigfoot isn't logical?????????????????????????

plainjane 12-20-2010 10:02 AM

Woah, I see the eyes! I don't think I'd be outside at night either - except for a full moon night! Too little for Big Foot! Maybe he sent the little ones to scope the area first :)

ncsewer 12-20-2010 10:18 AM

Go out in the daytime and make sure there isn't something there that is making this reflection back to you at night.

ljsunflower 12-20-2010 10:25 AM

Raccoon, bobcat, moutain lion, fox, wolf, coyote - could be a lot of different animals. Not squirrels though cause they are tucked in their nests at night asleep.

Ditter43 12-20-2010 10:35 AM

 Too far apart for a squirrel....Very interesting!!!!!

JanetM 12-20-2010 10:40 AM

I see the eyes too! I don't know what kind of animal they belong to, but you can be sure that they can see you better than you can see them...so stay inside LOL

Quiltforme 12-20-2010 11:08 AM

Oh that would be funny if he did try ot scare you sounds like my DH might be a deer

Rann 12-20-2010 11:15 AM

CarrieAnne 12-20-2010 11:51 AM

Scarry!!!!!!!!

Baysidegal 12-20-2010 12:34 PM

Hmmmmmmm spooky!

bluteddi 12-20-2010 12:52 PM

way to big to be a squirrel... when I blew it up really large in my photo software.. it appears to have the shadow shape of an owl.....

Born2Sew 12-20-2010 12:55 PM

I'd say drag out the good ole spot light and shine it on that baby. Then you'll either scare it off or find out what it is..

klgreene 12-20-2010 01:00 PM

Oh, just invite it in and have some milk and cookies. Then you won't have to worry about it being out there. LOL

bjnicholson 12-20-2010 01:04 PM

I'm going with the quilt police. WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING????????

redkimba 12-20-2010 01:06 PM

It's a Christmas Spirit. Watch out for 3 more dead folk to come talk to you about your quilts past, present, and future...

Nope -- don't know any Charlie's!!!! Small world, eh?!?! No Peeping Ts, either! ROL. Where do you live???

Mooly 12-20-2010 05:46 PM

Rainier. Yes, tiny world. He's from here, too. I think he works at the tire center in LaPine. But haven't seen him for many years.

hannajo 12-20-2010 07:14 PM

Yes, I agree. animal eyes always glow green or yellow whereas humans will glow red ( like red eye in flash photos) It was most likely a forrest critter just caught in the flash. Btw if that is your back yard ,I am SOOO envious.

Yes, that is my backyard. We're surrounded like this. I love it here.........I was just looking at some apartments over by the doctor's office that are right on a busy street and telling DH that after living here, I wouldn't be able to stand living in the city again. In spite of weird eyes at night! (BIG FOOT)

katiebear1 12-20-2010 10:12 PM

We live in Lexington KY and back up to a golf course, so we get a lot of "urban wildlife" in the yard ( racoons, rabbits, possums, voles, etc.) We have had critters get on the roof and I swear they sound like 8 tiny reindeer! LOL! Merry Christmas everyone!

Connie in CO 12-20-2010 10:13 PM

I live up high not to far from Canon City Colorado. We have all wilderness around us.I don't go out at night either, you never know whats out there in the dark.

wanna be quilter 12-21-2010 12:52 AM

The best thing is go look for paw prints, but take a big stick !!

Karyn 12-21-2010 06:14 AM

We are surrounded by woods on 3 sides, the front side is a road that ends at our house. I love it out here and on warm summer nights I love to listen to the coyotes as they move quickly through the woods. (Makes your hair stand up lol) I am always just outside the door when I listen though.
