What's the big deal? All pins are linked right back to the original site it was pinned from. Isn't that the point of posting pictures to a public website or blog to get as many readers as possible? The Pinterest agreement is a rule. Not a law. Huffington Post leaves out a lot of important details to get everyone all riled up. Makes the news we should be paying attention to be overlooked on the back page. I've seen so many very intelligent people get steered right in the direction they are led with blinders.

Anything I post on the internet, whether on Pinterest or the QB, is free for anyone to use. If they use it illegally and someone wants to take me to court, I would not hire an attorney --- I don't have any money for that....and they would be hard put to find anything of value I have (maybe my longarm). If they want my house --- well, it's value is HALF of what I owe on it, so maybe that would be a good idea.....................:( I like Pinterest, I've gotten a lot out of it, I'm not going to worry.

I was glad to read this...I have been thinking about a pinterest site. It always makes me nervous when they want access to your contacts, etc. I suppose facebook is the same. I've heard that once you post something on facebook, it's no longer yours. I've thought many times about deleting my account but if you look at that, it states that what has already been posted will remain. So I'm just careful...don't put many pictures on there and am very careful with personal and family info. Too bad this has to happen. It could be a great thing, but it costs you your privacy.

I would just like to pop in here to say that just because YOU don't care if YOUR images are posted on Pinterest, you should still be aware that ANYTHING that YOU pin &/or RE-pin, without the express permission of the owner of the image, leaves you wide open for a lawsuit.

I agree with you both. :)

All sites have this agreement. No one pays any attention to it. Like anything else, you either like or you don't.
