Woke up early this morning thanks to a cat who has no concept of time. I heard thunder, wandered out to the kitchen & discovered that it's raining. I even went outside to be out in it to make sure it was real. :)
PS - here's picture of the radar right now. |
Finally!!!:):):):):)
We got some in the Panhandle early evening on Friday.
Hope you get lots of it.
That's great news!!! I'm happy for you.
About the cat- why do they need a sense of time?? They have no schedules hahahaha :) |
Nothing here yet!!! Boohoohoo

Happy for your rain but have to ask if your cat might be related to mine LOL
Teddi woke me just after 4 this morning! |
That is GREAT!! Now send some our way...PLEASE!!!
I pray that it will continue and spread over your whole region. I've been so worried about the conditions there-it's been such a dire situation.
Yea! Stillbraining in Plano!
Sorry, raining!:)
Lucky you! Stand outside and blow it south...pretty please!
Yea!!!!! Sometimes it is fun to be out in the rain!
Wonderful! So happy for you!
Hooray!
OK,It's so nice after it rains.Connie in CO
I am in Plano to, what a surprise to find 2 dogs running into the house with muddy paws this morning. We didn't hear the rain so had no idea. Couldn't be mad though was more excited my yard is wet!
Hope you get lots! Plus, hope it's a slow enough rain that it will have time to seep in and not just run off. We are also needing rain. It's been heat indexes here of over 100 for probably the last 30 days. Our trees are dropping their leaves, pecans are dropping off, figs dropping off.. Just too hot to survive. I've never seen it like this before.
It's seeping in, but we will need lots of rain to break this drought. I have cracks in my yard that are 8 inches wide. I'm north of Plano, up in Sherman. It was wonderful to wake up to rain. Finally
Hope it continues all day, and soaks the thirsty ground!
So far it's been really damp all day. Hopefully we get a bit more rain before going back to the 100 degree days.
We got a nice shower in El Paso about noon and looks like a storm is coming in -
Wonderful!You all needed it.
Rain, blessed rain! We were so parched here and all the green things are so happy. 80º with clouds and breezes - what a nice break! :)
It was worth not breaking the record - yesterday, we tied the record for number of 100º days in a row and today would have broken it. Tomorrow, we are supposed to head back into the 100's so I'm really loving this "cool" while we have it! |
We heard about your rain on the morn news. That's great....know you needed rain & maybe it'll cool down too.
Nothing here either. Boo Hoo!!!
So happy for you, hope it spreads to all the areas that need it and it continues for a few days.
Pryers are answered. Pray for lots more and that it covers more of the state. My sister is south of Dallas and I don't think they have gotten rain in a very long time.
Is balstrop getting rain I have a friend there, so happy you are getting it as well.
Yesssssssssssss, wasn't it amazing. I thought it was just a teasing thunder but then someone online told me it was raining and I just had to go look.lol
Hope some of it get through to lower Alabama.

Our part of Texas hasn't been blessed with rain yet. Maybe some day....
That's awesome! When you're done with it, send it down here!
So glad to hear that. That's probably what woke up your cat, as it was not use to that sound.
