Read any good books lately?
I know that there was a wonderful thread regarding this topic in the "old" forum. I bookmarked it, but now can't find it :( I also tried to "search" but, no luck. So, sorry for the repeat, but I need a new author to read! I just finished the Benny Harper series by Earlene Fowler - loved it!!! I've read all of Joanne Fluke - Hanna Swenson series as well as Diane Mott Davidson. Anyone have any suggestions for another author - light read, mystery with a quilting twist? I have to go into the hospital on Friday and I'd sure like to load my kindle with a good read. Thank you!

I typed your Thread title into the Advanced Search and came up with these, among others:

Just read a book by "Debbie Macomber", easy read, she has written many, I just heard about her..
Help was a great book.... |
If you like light mysteries but it doesn't have to have a quilting theme, I like the Sue Grafton books...A is for Alibi, etc. She has a new book coming out soon...V is for Vendetta. The main character in them is a private investigator. Seems like they're set back in the 80's.

a great quilting series is by Jennifer Chiaverini The Elm Street Quilters here's link http://elmcreek.net/
also I have just finished reading every book Harlan Coben wrote...excellent! |
I recommend ... got them all on my Kindle right now.
Kat Martin - series Against the Fire, Against the Law, Against the Wind - very good. Susan Albert - series The Darling Dahlias Lynette Eason - Women of Justice series |
Breaking Night by Liz Murray - she is the formerly homeless girl who turned her life around (she was on Oprah) - great book about resilience. (Not fiction)
Girl in Translation by Jean Kwok - a young girl and her mother emigrate from China and the book details her struggles. It is fiction, but "informed" by the real life of the author. |
