I had a 1963 1/2 Galaxy R code 2 door hardtop (427, 2x4, and a 4 speed, all factory) I drove everyday after I graduated from high school and I sold it to foot the bill on an original Hertz Shelby with a factory Paxton supercharger. It was one of a few ever built but the car was sold before I could get to it. It was in pieces and had some rust issues but I really wanted it.

My daughter managed a Performimg Arts Center, and when she told us Harvey Korman & Tim Conway were coming, we drove five hours to see their performance. She arranged for us to meet them before the show, and that was a great few minutes. Had our picture taken with them. That was probably four years ago, and when I look at that picture now and know Harvey has passed away, I feel sad.

I met Katherine Hepburn in San Francisco a few years before she passed away. She was doing a play, wish I could remember the name now, and my DH and I stayed behind a little bit. She and her escort were coming out the side door trying to leave quietly. She did stop and talk with us for about 20 minutes. It was wonderful night just seeing her but meeting her really topped it off. Also met Harry Chapin after a concert.
I also had drinks with Mary Ellen Hopkins. Does she count as someone famous?

In 1988, my husband and I were in a restaurant in New Delhi when Sting, Peter Gabriel and Bruce Springsteen came in and sat at the table next to us. Clearly, we were the only people who recognized them. I wouldn't have disturbed their privacy for anything on earth - and I kept thinking how nice it must be for them to enjoy a meal in a public place in peace! They were there to do a concert for Amnesty International.

I've taken some great classes from Sue Hausman. She's as down-to-earth in person as she is on TV.

Steve Wilson IS Anita Good Design, and his classes are fun.

John Deer is a digital embroidery design wizard, and I learned a lot about using my digital software in 2 days of classes with him. His embroidery designs are terrrific.

I've worked in hotel/hospitality, resteraunts/bars, and airlines. I've met more famous people than I can remember. Only bothered to get one autograph, Yogi Berra/ I've met Jean Claude Van Dam, he's very short, actually a tiny man, and a real as*. Jim Bob from the Waltons, Anthony Geary (General Hospital), Stacy Keach & his wife and their dog. Very sweet couple. I accidentally tipped over a fruit cocktail into the lap of the drummer of Chicago. Can't remember his name. The British guy from the Jefferson's. Hilarious!!! Gavin McLeod from the LoveBoat, another real horses behind. Thelma Houston, the singer. She sang to me and I cried. Very touching. I could keep going, but I guess you get the idea. They are all people just like the rest of us. It was nice to meet all of them and chat, but no autographs. I tried not to get all giddy. Treat them like a real person and usually they will do the same back.
