Scrumptious!

they are beautiful. have you tried lining you pastry bag with another color then put in your frosting, then when you pipe them each petal will have the first color on just the edge of each petal. making them with yellow frosting and line the bag with red. gorgeous" expand

rexie 03-05-2011 06:32 PM

Very nice!!!! You are doing great. Are you in the cake decorating business?

Lindsey 03-05-2011 07:02 PM

no I am not in the cake decorating business hahaha. however if you don't practice you won't get better. I have been taking them to the neighbors and giving them away. I make the frosting and use it several times before I throw the rest away. If its too thick I can't get it out of the bag. i have to learn the right consistency. Its just fun doing something different. Its being crafty in another way.

HummerGardenCrafts 03-05-2011 07:04 PM

I would love to learn how to do those.

Well, I wish you were my neighbor!!! I would be delighted to help you " dispose of evidence"! Your roses look just like real ones. For the record, in a pinch, I could eat roses on Ritz crackers! You really wouldn't even have to make me cupcakes!!

I use to have all colors of icing in the refrig, so it would be ready at anytime.

Lindsey 03-06-2011 06:20 AM

You use a nail type holder to make the roses. turning it in your hand. I viewed them on utube a gazzion times to see how they made them. They make it look so easy.

mapleie 03-06-2011 06:21 AM

Have never posted before but wanted to say Good Job! I made wedding cakes for over 30 years and taught cake decorating for over 25 years. Keep up the good work.
