The recipe is the Wilton butter cream frosting on Wilton.com If you look on the website at wilton they have a discussion board and you can look for bunniewomans recipe for buttercream frosting. The only difference I can see is she adds van, butter and almond extract to wiltons recipe. Oh and she uses half butter and half crisco.

Please continue to make them from time to time-what I mean is I haven't made any in years, since I quit decorating cakes, and I doubt if I can now, So even if you stop with your cake decorating for a while, please every so often make your roses. Right now it doesn't look like you need any practice.

I had a go at this ages ago , but mine were flat fat cabbages , icing was not my thing , I will stick to quilting , yours look great . Cathy

Sometimes mine look like cabbages too. I think its the icing has to be pretty stiff.
