tisha 03-06-2011 10:21 AM

Hi Would you share your receipt for the icing? I am sure it is cream cheese and something????. I am not good at making icing so I need all the help I can get. I sure hope I send this to the correct place this time Thanks Tisha

watson's mom 03-06-2011 10:21 AM

No Fair !!! I am on a diet and these look scrumptious.

llong0233 03-06-2011 10:57 AM

Some of them look like they should have the wonderful scent of roses; others not so much. You're improving by the minute so keep up the good work and your roses will be perfect!

llong0233 03-06-2011 10:59 AM

I just took another look at your roses and I think now they all are pretty darn good; it's just the images are blurred. Nice work.

Lori S 03-06-2011 11:00 AM

Ok.. Now I'm hungry... for something sweet! Nice work

DirtyPaw 03-06-2011 11:50 AM

lorraine43 03-06-2011 01:59 PM

Mine always came out looking like cabbages!! Yours are beautiful!!

Lindsey 03-06-2011 02:16 PM

The recipe is the Wilton butter cream frosting on Wilton.com If you look on the website at wilton they have a discussion board and you can look for bunniewomans recipe for buttercream frosting. The only difference I can see is she adds van, butter and almond extract to wiltons recipe. Oh and she uses half butter and half crisco.

Mar_ie 03-06-2011 02:22 PM

so lovely....save some for me too :-D

DeneK 03-06-2011 02:41 PM

really, really nice. I always wanted to learn this, but I guess for now quilts take first place.

polly13 03-06-2011 03:05 PM

Very realistic! I don't think there would be many to share if we got to eat the failures.

IDquilter 03-06-2011 04:24 PM

Lindsey I think they look just fabulous. You did an outstanding job on them. Keep up the good work. Please continue to make them from time to time-what I mean is I haven't made any in years, since I quit decorating cakes, and I doubt if I can now, So even if you stop with your cake decorating for a while, please every so often make your roses. Right now it doesn't look like you need any practice.

conniebrooks 03-06-2011 05:50 PM

They are very nice. Are you making a weddig cake.

Colbaltjars62 03-06-2011 05:55 PM

Very yummy looking. nice work... :D

fabricfairy 03-06-2011 05:56 PM

I had a go at this ages ago , but mine were flat fat cabbages , icing was not my thing , I will stick to quilting , yours look great . Cathy

Lindsey 03-06-2011 06:00 PM

Sometimes mine look like cabbages too. I think its the icing has to be pretty stiff.

Taughtby Grandma 03-06-2011 06:32 PM

Wonderful, I'm drooling!

Quilted Horse 03-06-2011 06:38 PM
