Salt is salt. Even mined salt came from the sea at one time. The trace minerals can be different and give salts slightly different flavors. The size and type of crystals also gives salt different intensities.

I'm up late cause I couldnt sleep so thought I'd check the forum. You people are cracking me up! Marsye, I don't know where you come up with all your avatar pics but they certainly are conversation starters. Oh, and yes, you and your brother do have a strong family resemblance. Were you the one who poked his eye out?

Yup! Exactly what did you expect anyway?????

I have both kinds of salt in the house. I use regular iodized salt for baking and sea salt for everything else. It's true that you need less sea salt than regular.

I was reading Fitness magazine this morning and they had an artical about sea salt vs table salt. There is no difference health wise however sea salt is saltier so you use less which reduces your sodium intake.
