You can do it! You will be glad you did!!!!

Most quilters I know are friendly. Just hold your head up and smile and say hello to the first person you see. You'll do fine. I know it's scary. I'm the same way as you and I have to force myself to do things that are out of my comfort zone. If I listened to my innerself, I'd never leave the house.

Go there smiling and enjoy it!

Now that's my bag of courage! You'll be fine, and hope you enjoy it!

I went to a quilting group with my mom when I was in my teens. I thought those ladies would tell me I was too young and to get "lost". They didn't! They were super nice and to this day one of the ladies still compliments me on how I did. She said she's never seen such small stitches as mine (I thought they were huge!) She said she always checked after I left to make sure they all went through. Anyway you'll have fun even if you just listen.

I was scared to go to my first guild meeting, everyone knew each other for years and I thought I would never fit in. The women were very warm and welcoming to me, and with their help I found my way. You will be fine. The guild wants new people. You will be welcomed in, and enjoy yourself. It will only be hard the first time. You can do it.
