Yes, you are so right. We must keep this all in perspective. My daughter has been over in Iraq and Afghanistan and got to experience some of that heat!!!

Well said. A friends son came home from the middle east Sunday for a 2 week leave. His job entails that we never know exactly where he is but the heat came up. Says it always makes him shakle his head when he's in a store or something and people complaining about the "terrible heat". Imagine if your one of the tank drivers - it's like being in a steam bath fully dressed.

My Son-in-law and Grandson both spent 2 terms of service in Iraq, and said that in the hottest of summer the temps can get up to 140 degrees!!!! And GS said riding in his hummer was like sitting in front of a blast furnace, and there was always the fun of dust storms that would make it a hot, total darkness...

GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS...thanks for posting....I never complain about summer but man o man...you dont want to hear my winter rantings...I absolutely detest everything about winter
