Copied from a friend: I was going to complain about how hot it is... then I realized that at least 1. it isn't 109 degrees; 2. I'm not 5,700 miles from home; 3. I'm not dressed in a full ACU/BDU uniform, helmet & carrying 70+ lbs.; 4. there is very little chance that anyone will shoot at me or that I might drive over a bomb in the road! Thanks to all who serve! God bless them!

Amen to that, so many whiners out there don't realize how good they have it. Prayers go up daily for their safety.

God forgive me for my whining. I don't realize how good I have it until I read something like this. God bless them and keep them safe.

Yes, you are so right. We must keep this all in perspective. My daughter has been over in Iraq and Afghanistan and got to experience some of that heat!!!

Well said. A friends son came home from the middle east Sunday for a 2 week leave. His job entails that we never know exactly where he is but the heat came up. Says it always makes him shakle his head when he's in a store or something and people complaining about the "terrible heat". Imagine if your one of the tank drivers - it's like being in a steam bath fully dressed.
