I have the Shark floor steamer and I love mine. I use tap water, but I always empty all water when finished and I leave the top off so no moister remains in the container. Not sure any of this makes a difference, but mine is holding up to ware.

My DD bought two of the Shark Steam mops for $36 on Black Friday. She uses hers almost every day with four kids, pets and all ceramic tile floors. She does not baby it at all. I use mine about once a week. So far no problems with either one. We bought use tap water. For $36 it has performed much better then I expected.

I use mine on the old floors at a summer place. I started spraying 409 in soiled corners etc. It helped but would never use it year round.

Had my shark steamer for floors over a year and love it. Also have the shark portable steamer for counters etc. Not as thrilled with that, but they both are lighter and easier to use than the Europro that I have had for years but have to keep changing nozzles etc and I have trouble doing that as my hands are not strong and DH passed.

I have had the Shark Euro pro x for about 2 years and use at least once a week, and it has done a great job for me. I use
on laminate and and drain after every use I use distilled or Tap and both work fine.
