I had one under my arm that kept being pulled by my bra and was bleeding all the time.
I tied it with thread, it didn't hurt and dried up and fell off. |
I just twisted mine until they came off, then bled like crazy.... always do that.... I am elderly... my mother had them too.... haven't had any for a while... they come and go.
|
Use Liquid Bandage on them religiously for a while and they will fall off.

Some people have used really tiny rubber bands...but I can't picture rubber bands that small. |
I was in my doctor's office one time and I called them skin "ticks". She thought that was so funny! Then she not so gingerly corrected me.

I have heard that if you have high cholesterol it causes them...especially around the eyes. I have several of them. Hate the ones under my arms, I always cut them off when shaving. They seem to come right back. I would consider consulting a dermatologist about them if they are severe or causing you pain...crafty_linda_b

My husband had some and showed me they were disappearing. I can't remember why he thought they were. I'll ask him tomorrow.

Yeah, I sort of have a little scar where I had one taken off, too.

This is all good to know. I just started getting them in the past few years and I hate them. I had an appt set to see the doc about them but broke my knee instead. So now I have to reschedule for that. UGH. Burning them off sounds like the way to go. Thanks everyone for all the advice
