Today is Sept 22 the first days of fall, or so the calander says it is however when the temps are still hitting the upper 90's    I wonder if fall will ever arrive in Cincinnati!!

Has fall arrived in your home town????????

cjomomma 09-22-2010 06:08 AM

Not here!! It doesn't even look like fall and the temps say it's still summer. By this weekend they say it is suppose to be in the 70's, I hope so because I'm tired of this heat. Bring me some snow!!!!

Deb watkins 09-22-2010 06:09 AM

Yes, Cool nights great for sleeping, nice temps during the day and the maples are starting to turn and some have dropped off! Fall, my favorite season.

erstan947 09-22-2010 06:12 AM

Not here either. Another week of 90 + degree days

grannie-k 09-22-2010 06:19 AM

90's during the day and by the weekend MAYBE 60's. I am ready for fall weather. not winter which is what we seem to go to...

kathy 09-22-2010 06:19 AM

well now hold on.... it doesn't actually happen untill 9:10 pm (central) so there's still time. "it can happen"
personally I have my doubts that South Texas will see "fall" untill late October

amandasgramma 09-22-2010 06:26 AM

It's here!!!! At least for another few days...then we'll be in the 80s!!!+

Sadiemae 09-22-2010 06:28 AM

It's here in Idaho!!! At least for the moment!

katsewnsew 09-22-2010 06:29 AM

Indian Summer here, yesterday was 92, today will be around 80, tomorrow is back up to 90s, then back down to the 70s for the rest of the week. My trees are so confused. They have been dropping leaves for about a month. Some have changed, but not much. Crazy weather everywhere!!!

Marye 09-22-2010 06:30 AM

We South Carolina broke all time records yesterday 21st with 98 degrees no fall here still summer

sewmuchmore 09-22-2010 07:30 AM

Not in Georgia it is hot here but by this weekend should be cooler.

SaraSewing 09-22-2010 07:48 AM

Days are pleasant here on the UT/AZ border, but nights are starting to get chilly. We were on our Rhino ATV last weekend at the bast of the mtn (which is 7500 feet). The oaks are turning red, quakies are golden. Within another week it will be beautiful! Our garden is done, fruit and nuts are ripe. Yup, fall is here and beautiful!!

raptureready 09-22-2010 07:56 AM

Some of our leaves are beginning to turn, and some of our days and nights have been cooler but not this week. I think the first week of autumn is going to be (please pardon this offensive term) a week of Indian summer.

EagarBeez 09-22-2010 07:58 AM

I live in the mountains of Arizona. Eastern Portion, base of the national forest, and here we are having cool mornings and evenings, and during the day gets up to about 72. You don't feel it though because of the dry air

fabrichore 09-22-2010 07:59 AM

fall has definitely arrived in the new england states, the leaves are already turning and it has been quite chilly, yesterday morning I woke up to 41' brrr to early for that...but the leafves are definitely a bit early this year...on a good note it willbe almost 80' today....awwwww a breif summer day, I will take it...

Lacelady 09-22-2010 08:01 AM

I don't think we got up to 90 at all this year, and it's been quite warm for us.

It has been like Fall weather here in Maryland for the last week. The temperatures are to rise to upper 80's and 90 for a few days, but the nights have been pleasantly cool. I'm not rushing the onslaught of cold weather after last years winter! Enjoy each season are my thoughts :) Happy Fall Everyone!!

Cute pictures Rose thanks for sharing. To think Halloween is a little over a month away.

pookie ookie 09-22-2010 10:32 AM

Unusually cool all this year. Still waiting for summer.

Quiltforme 09-22-2010 10:32 AM

We have yet to have a summer.. Fall/winter has been all year. Today the high maybe 65. I wish we had the summer weather. It kills my back when it is cold.

ssgramma 09-22-2010 10:37 AM

Certainly not fall here! 95 and just got a red flag warning!!! Humidity around 20% which is unheard of around here! Wind whipping 20-30 drying out everything I watered yesterday ;-(

Linda1 09-22-2010 10:37 AM

The only leaves falling here are dying from the heat. 93 here.

Emma S 09-22-2010 10:38 AM

Summer what summer? Our fall started back in June although the leaves are just starting to turn. We had an unusally cool summer here in Oregon with record amounts of rain in September. I know, it sounds good to all who have been baking all summer long but a little warmth would be nice. I'm still hoping for Indian Summer.

tdgiffin 09-22-2010 10:40 AM

It FINALLY rained here today - yippee! It is also my dd's 21st birthday. Oh boy! Where does the time go? It seems like she was just a baby in my arms.

pookie ookie 09-22-2010 10:58 AM

Another person with cool weather apparently, Rikki Lake sets house on fire while refueling a portable heater.

That would freak me out. Glad I've never had a refuel-able heater.

pocoellie 09-22-2010 11:08 AM

Not too bad here, 71 is our high, 30's at night.

Navy Wife 09-22-2010 12:55 PM

No fall in east TN or the Smokies. It was 93 yesterday, and so far 90 today. I remember one year in South Texas when it was 95 + until the end of November. I was taking clothes off the line ( it was a long time ago! ) and sweating at 95 degrees. A "Blue Norther" hit and the temp dropped to 65 in 15 minutes.

jljack 09-22-2010 03:28 PM

Here is Central California we are on our 'YOYO' season...98 deg one day, 72 deg the next. Today we are at about 76 deg, but starting an upward climb tomorrow, up to about 98 deg next week....of course....just in time for the County Fair!! BOO!! It's guaranteed...high temps for the fair. Don't know how it figures out how to do that, but almost always. Overall we have had a very mild summer...maybe only about 10-15 days over 100 deg. A few years ago we had 40 days over 100 deg...so you see...this is mild this year.

trisha 09-22-2010 08:00 PM

Yeah!!! What's with the raking leaves in 90 degree weather? Some one has things messed up around here.

Has fall arrived in your home town????????

Not Here it was in the high 90's yesterday but we did have a very severe thunderstorm with lot's lighting! :-(

CarrieAnne 09-23-2010 04:27 AM

Our leaves are starting to change and they are cutting soybeans and corn, and everything is browns and yellows, yep fall is here! Love fall, but like Spring better, cuz I know Summer would be next!

ToucanSam 09-23-2010 04:38 AM

Around 90 where I live and around 90 where I'm vacationing in Florida...so I'm happy about it!

When I get home in a couple of days, fall can show up!

grammyp 09-23-2010 05:13 AM

Yup, expecting 95 again today, and tomorrow. Then perhaps a "cool front" and only mid 80's. Gee whiz, I want some cool (and rain would be nice too)!

mzsooz 09-23-2010 05:16 AM

Feels like fall here! It cooled off and we had a nice rain and snow in the mountains yesterday. Thank goodness. It is helping put out the horrible fire we have had burning in a town near us. I haven't been able to breathe all week!

Fall makes me sad. Lost my grams on this day 16 years ago :(

trupeach1 09-23-2010 05:54 AM

the second day of fall and it will be once again in the 90's. It was so humid at 7:30 when I got up you couldn't breath when the door was opened. I wait for the spring and fall with no AC or heat to run up the electric bill this year the AC has been running non stop since May. With fall there is the hope of COLD long winter days. I WANT WINTER SNOW AND ICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

raptureready 09-23-2010 05:10 PM

I didn't pay any attention to the weather today. The air is on in the house but I leave it alone--DH thinks that he is the only one that should be allowed to control the temp so I let him. Anyway,,, this afternoon I got busy and made a big pot of chili and baked a batch of cookies because I'm going on retreat tomorrow and wanted there to be some cooked food in the house. Both DH and DD thought I'd lost my mind to be making chili and baking when the temp was 90 out.
