She said they were 6 yds, each, and mostly cotton ones. Anyway she is going to dig out the ones she doesn't wear anymore and bring them innto the office and have them call me when she does. What an awesome DR. I have. Maybe I will make her a quilt for Christmas out of the material

I, too, have a wonderful dr. She has never suggested bringing in fabric for me. You see, she too, is a quilter. The office is full of her work. Every time I go there are different ones hanging. All beautiful. :-D :-D :-D

If she is from India then she wears a Sari and these could be really really nice and expensive. I am sure you can make a lot of beautiful quilts.

My doctor is a women from India also. I'd love to get some material from her. Plus my vet is from India. I wish I was offered some sari's fabric. I have a few Indian fabric stores around but I never thought of using that fabric for a quilt. It's expensive and I'm too new to try it. I wonder if I make a copy of this subject and slip it under my doctor and vet's door if they would get a hint?

Sounds like she is bringing in sarees--they are 6 feet long. We had an Indian friend who help us make them for my girls when they were little. They loved to dress up in them. She taught us how to make the folds and how to wrap the loose end across your front and over your shoulder.
