bobbie1 06-11-2011 06:12 AM

Been on WW for 4 mos and have lost 17. A loooong, loooong journey. Doesn't help that I can't walk much. Am on walker. Keeping eye on the 20 lb mark. Good luck with your journey.

Pam B 06-11-2011 06:16 AM

Good for you! I have lost only about 8 lbs since the beginning of April. However, I do know that I have lost inches because I am wearing slacks that I have not been able to wear for a few years. I do Zumba 3 or 4 times a week and I have been told that muscle actually weighs more than fat (hard to believe) so I guess I am glad to be losing the inches. But, I'd really like to see the scale go down faster, as well.

What are you doing? WW?

amma 06-11-2011 10:29 AM

Congratulations!! :D:D:D

I am hoping I haven't lost mine, but have permanently hidden them

sisLH 06-11-2011 10:42 AM

I joined WW once and gained 10 lbs in one month!! They kept telling me I had to eat the food and I kept telling them I have never eaten so much in my life! So now I have the extra 10 and my original 25 to lose. It's darn hard.

Tsanchez 06-11-2011 11:08 AM

That is awesome. I've lost a total of 30 pounds since the first of the year. In fact, yesterday I put on the smallest of my jeans and I could pull them down without unbuttoning or unzipping. I have no jeans that fit any more. In a good way of course. I've lost most of the weight since I had my hip replacement surgery 8 weeks ago. I'm able to walk again and I feel good.

So funny but so true...it is alot of food to eat. I tried eating 1/2 of what they had me eat..thinking I would lose faster. Didn't work. Their plan works but really have to follow it. That is what is so discouraging for me. Should be losing more than I am..or so I think.

QUILTNMO 06-11-2011 03:10 PM

I'm down 14 pounds since January. But it was a really tough winter and I'm nearing my goal so it'll get harder.

carreen 06-11-2011 05:58 PM

I'm glad I started this post. It's good to see everyones results. Last year I lost 45 pounds and since Jan I gained 2 back so i'm hitting it hard again. I don't want it back because I went from a 22 to a 14 and got rid of all my inbetween clothes. Good going everyone and keep up the good work!!

bgullett 06-11-2011 06:00 PM

Harder I try, the worse it gets. Disgusting.

QKO 06-11-2011 06:05 PM

I've lost 14 pounds in the first month on the South Beach diet. The first two weeks I lost about 10 pounds, since then it's been like 2 pounds a week.

Only 50 or 60 to go! :-)

quiltingfan 06-12-2011 05:02 AM

I need all the motivation I can get. I have lost almost 7 , I think but have gained some back. Am going to get back into my exercise routine even though we are moving. Wish me luck. Everyone else good job and hang in there. You can do it. No hamburgers today,,,, , come on you can do it. :-D

QUILTNMO 06-12-2011 05:22 AM

fabricqueen 06-12-2011 05:28 AM

I have lost 30.4 lbs on WW. I joined 4 months ago. I think it is easy and I love it. We are eating a lot healthier as well. My husband had a heart attack a year ago and we are both eating much better. He doesn't need to lose any weight though. We try to walk every day at least 2 miles.

fratcat 06-12-2011 07:19 AM

I have lost 51.5 pounds since January and have 29 pounds to go. I have been on Take Shape for Life through medifast. My sister has just started it also, and has lost 13 in two weeks and losing inches. I have to eat 6 times a day, about 2 - 2.5 hours a part. I had tried everything else, and this is the only program working,e ven with my hypothryoidism and slow weight loss. My goal is 115 pounds and I hope to achieve that goal by Labor Day. I agree with everyone, losing weight is hard, but perseverence pays off.

Doreen 06-12-2011 07:55 AM

Pam B: I also do Zumba 4 x a week and I have gained muscle. Dr told me not too worry. I am firmer.

lovingquilts4all 06-12-2011 08:56 AM

Hi, I just discovered this blog and am so glad I did. I started WW in early March and LOVE the new Points Plus plan. I have done this before but without success. This time I am doing much better and it seems easier! So far I have lost 28 pounds on WW and had lost another 12 only own since Christmas,so about 40 so far! I am hoping to lose another 35 and then KEEP iT OFF. That is the trick. It is great to see other quilters with similar goals. Keep up the good work!

BellaBoo 06-12-2011 09:00 AM

I gained weight with WW Points Plus. I was on it faithfully for six months and gained 14lbs. I was looked at like I was lying when I weighed in. I didn't eat as much as they said to before I joined and was told I had to eat at least the min. points. Bullmarlarky. I joined a fitness center and had a trainer work with me for a few times to establish my routine and show me how to exercise. I have lost all my extra weight and have gained strength and energy I never knew I could get back. I can eat pie again and not see it show up on the scales.

milikaa1 06-12-2011 10:36 AM

I lost 80 lbs doing WW on my own but following there plan (with neighbors help), I am stuck with 20 lbs to go so joined the WW meetings, I walk alot, I dont eat anything "white" like breads and pastas, I had zero sugar for the first 6 months and still eat mostly sugar free and fat free ( I do cheat now LOL). Eat breakfast every morning is a plus as well.

I think as long as you change your eating habits and excersize that is a great change in itself.

decky 06-12-2011 11:20 AM

Way to go!! I joined WW the first part of May and have lost 17 lbs so far. Still have a long way to go. My husband got my fishing license the other day and had my weight at 140 lbs. I don't know if he thinks that is what I weight or either he is hoping that will be my weight. Haven't seen 140 since my daughter got married 20 years ago.

waladopa 06-12-2011 11:24 AM

During the last 7 years I have lost 135 pounds but during the last month I have gained 10 pounds.
Yes, I cheated, I had a gastric bypass.
No regrets except wish I had done it 20 or 30 years sooner.

Yes, a pound of muscle will take up less space than a pound of fat. Phat is phluffy and shows up where you don't want it. You can work on putting muscle where you want it. Plus, the muscle will hold all the jiggle in place better. Keep up the good work.

Dianemarie 06-12-2011 07:37 PM

Me too ! I have lost 84 pounds since Jan 2010 ! Now put on just a couple and back at getting them off. This really works for me and has changed my life ! I have sooo much energy !

Tutty, I'm basically on the newer Atkins as well, although I've tweaked it a bit for some foods I don't do well with. I admire your staying off the scales for a month!
