I'll bet if you take the jam over -- at a reasonable hour -- and explain, she'll have a good laugh, too. LOL BTW - that's something I'd do, too....

Well Pam, I for 1 am impressed with your handling of that sword...AND wondering why you ordered it in the first place!! See how nosey people think???

I think it hilarious and I would have done the same thing...well....my "weapon of choice" would have been a shotgun or axe handle..either one are by the door and ready to go...depends on what kind of "varmit" I think is on the other side of the door!:lol::lol:

Funny! This is what happened to me. We moved into a new house in June. A co-worker, (not one of my favorites) lives on the next street. She knocked on the door one evening at 9:15. DH answers the door and invites her in. She says she can't come in because she has her dog with her. I go out on the porch and talk to her for a few minutes and come back in. That is when I notice that my dh has on a tshirt and underwear. I said did you answer the door like that? "Yep," he says. "I am not used to having people stop by." She hasn't been back...LOL

What kind of a person would think someone would fix a fence board at 9:30PM?
Our oldest Granddaughter lives with us and cautions us all the time to keep the doors locked at all hours of the day and night, doesn't want to come home and found that someone has killed us. She has locked Grampa out several times on the weekends, when he was working in the yard. I even locked him out too, startled me to hear a knock on the door.
Silly girl has rubbed off of me.

At least you dont have a neighbor that cuts your privacy hedges almost down and then throws ice water on your Pomeranian.

I told the neighbor the next time that they stepped out of line I was going to get my 12 gauge and blow their kneecaps off!!

Good fences make good neighbors!! I haven't seen anyone over there, or at least no lights so I haven't knocked on the door yet. I'm at work during the day so maybe this weekend...

Oh, and I haven't nailed the board up either. I'll get around to it. Maybe next Sunday night at 9:30pm I'll go out there and start pounding on the fence. :-D

Thank you! I wondered whether anyone was going to mention this. Why on Earth did she wait that late to come talk about the fence? I wouldn't even apologize about the axe. Sure, welcome her properly, but if the subject comes up, make it clear that unexpected visits shouldn't happen that late unless they're emergencies.

Oh that is to funny, I bet she does not ask you for anything again. God bless.

That is cute.

But I don't answer my door after a certain time.

Too much is going on in this world.
