Elvis Hound Dog, Heartbreak Hotel. That was the start of a huge Elvis collection.

Records? Just saying that dates us - I don't remember when I bought a record but the first one I remeber listening to was the Monkees - I used to sit for hours and listen over and over again. In fact, now the song is running through my head.

Hound Dog for me also, my record player shorted out and started smoking and mt Dad came running in and took the record off and threw it in trash. He said he never wanted tosee an Elvis record in his house again. My next sister of course had all of his albumns. She was 7years younger. The next sister was 12 yrs younger and shewas a real hippy. Elvis was so much nicer than the next ones that came along. than the baby sister, 15 yrs younger did whatever she wanted.LOl

My DH has a collection of over 4200 albumns, and has them all sorted and knowswhichones he has etc. our kids grew up listening to all the golden oldies and singing along with them.

My first record was the album "Black is Black" by Los Bravos. My parents let my brother and I pick one record each the day we got our first stereo system.

Soldier Boy sung by Little Peggy March. I still have all the 45's I bought in the 60's. All the Beatles records, Elvis. Then there were the LP's, 8 track, cassettes, and now the cd's. The Ventures, Herb Albert. I remember you could buy a 45 for a dollar. Stupid me did not keep the paper case they came in with the artist picture on. Memories Memories Memories! My mother always called it Jungle music. I am 62.
