When your puppy wants to help you sew. I was putting binding on a small quilt and foolishly put my NEW spool of thread down beside me on the sofa. I didn't see her take it but she came running back into the room with all this green lint hanging from her mouth. I thought she had ripped something up but I don't have anything this colour in my house. It is the thread for the binding on one of my GGD's quilts. My fault for leaving it out. Oh well. LOL

Of course its your fault, no dog owner will blame their baby, right??

shawnemily 04-23-2011 06:22 PM

I have had a few end up looking like that!!!
But..... they are so cute about it!!!! :)

mimom 04-23-2011 06:26 PM

my cat does the same thing

Julie in WA 04-23-2011 06:31 PM

This made me laugh out loud! I'd like to see the 'culprit'!

watson's mom 04-23-2011 06:39 PM

When we first got her last July, she had a 20" wicker bowl full of stuffed and rubber toys. She has two left and the rest got chewed to death but she is lots of fun and I love her to pieces.

stichinluvr 04-23-2011 06:42 PM

But she looks so innocent! I have one that grabs anything loose, too. I guess they figure if we aren't using it, it is theirs. :D

KathyAire 04-23-2011 06:47 PM

She certainly does not look guilty, to me. And, yes, it is your fault. I'll pass on a cure to be certain that she doesn't get into it again. Take a newspaper and roll it up real tight and hit yourself on the head with it, saying 'I will not leave my thread out where Suzie can get it'. That should do it.

Suzie doesn't look guilty at all. She looks like a happy-go-lucky dog and not one to steal a brand new spool of thread. The look on her face is saying "no, it wasn't me"!

koko 04-23-2011 06:54 PM

He looks so innocent:)

dixiebelle162002 04-23-2011 06:55 PM

I'm sure she didn't do it on purpose. Who could be angry at a cute face like that. :D :D

PamB8s 04-23-2011 06:56 PM

She looks so innocent.

emerald46 04-23-2011 06:58 PM

With a face like that...how guilty can she be?

cakebaker 04-23-2011 06:59 PM

I don't see a guilty look there, how cute.

sherriequilts 04-23-2011 06:59 PM

My Sashi cat will find any spool I bury in the basket beside my chair when I give up on binding and go to bed. In the morning there it is in the middle of the living room floor. Actually I had been blaming her sister all this time until I caught Sashi in the act the other night! Aren't our furry children special?

BETTY62 04-23-2011 07:07 PM

I love your fur baby.

craftybear 04-23-2011 07:07 PM

oh my, you will have to be more careful with your thread around her

JanetM 04-23-2011 07:20 PM

You can't possibly blame her...look at that face. She is precious.

ChubbyBunny 04-23-2011 07:35 PM

Aw! She's adorable! I wouldn't be able to get mad at her.

bigdogmom 04-23-2011 07:39 PM

How cute!! Your puppy, not your mess of thread. Bet you can't stay mad at that face, made me laugh and say "awh", thanks for sharing

Murphy 04-23-2011 07:45 PM

But she is so cute (laughter). My cat would do this as well.

sueisallaboutquilts 04-23-2011 07:48 PM

I agree! I think it was some other dog. You must be mistaken lol

SundarKoyal 04-23-2011 07:51 PM

Lollllllllllllllllllllllllll!! That is just too darn funny.
My one cat did the same thing. I set my spool down on the table, next thing you know the cat snuck up and whacked the spool... took ahold of the tiny thread and ran through the whole house with it. He thought it was a game that mommy was chasing him. It was not funny. lolllll, okay, well it was. But I was not laughing at the time. lollll.

shemace2901 04-23-2011 07:59 PM

you can't be upset with an adorable face like that!

Kitsapquilter 04-23-2011 07:59 PM

How funny....he thinks he is a cat!! He is a cute little dog, too!
He looks like he is quite proud of himself.

cowgirlquilter 04-23-2011 08:05 PM

Oh my gosh, how could you even thinkt hat sweet little Suzy could do that......~~~winking and smiling at her innocent little face~~~

grandmajuki 04-23-2011 08:09 PM

Look at that precious face.. she couldn't possibly do that!!
Judy

connie d 04-23-2011 08:26 PM

Moonglow 04-23-2011 09:17 PM

How could you even think she was at fault? That face is just too innocent. LOL

Painiacs 04-23-2011 09:39 PM

Suzie didn't do it! That's her story and she's sticking to it! My lil Maggie wants her to come play!

quiltsRfun 04-23-2011 09:47 PM

And she looks so innocent. I've seen that before - both the chewed up spool of thread and the sweet, innocent face. LOL Mine discovered the spool rack so now I have to be sure to close the door to the sewing room so she doesn't help herself.

I made my little yorkie a chew toy out of empty spools and she loves them, she carries it all over the house infact its laying next to her right now....just took a pipe cleaners and empty spools made a circle and gave it to her...

sawsan 04-23-2011 11:48 PM

She looks innocent . It's your fault lol  :lol:not

GGrammie 04-24-2011 03:56 AM

Oh she's sooooo sweet.
It's what puppies do.
I'm in love with her....

SueDor 04-24-2011 04:10 AM

I bet she had fun with it too!

awwww - how to be mad at such a sweetie pie! On the plus side, the thread wasn't eaten (and I swear I've read stories about loveys eating thread!)

merchjag 04-24-2011 04:23 AM

Little Stinker!!!

Pzazz 04-24-2011 04:41 AM

Patti

Marion T 04-24-2011 04:44 AM
