Since DH retired, I don't dare TOUCH the thermostat. He keeps the AC at about 74. I often have to put on a light sweater - would set it at 77 if I had my choice!!
|
I don't have AC!! Only need it a couple days a year here.
I do use my ceiling fans. Don't use the heater a whole lot either in the winter time! |
What with these flashes I am having, we keep ours at 70-72. In the Winter I like it about 68 degrees. I despise our Elec. bill but....have to be comfy! And DH works out in the heat so he loves the house to be cool when he comes home.

We keep it around 72 - 74 in summer (if a/c keeps it up...has a hard time on the 90+ days though) although I will switch it up to 75-76 if I'm alone.
During the winter we keep it around 68 - 70...dang propane is out of sight price wise so I them them to put on a sweater or cover up. |
75-76 at all times if it were up to me..DH likes it a little higher..he adapts..lol..!!
|
78 all the time when it's hot. When you come in from 90+ outside, it feels cold!!
|
Between 76-78.
|
We have a heat pump and our service man said that they are designed to work well 20 degrees either direction of actual temperature; otherwise, it will tend to run constantly. So since we have been at 95-98 degrees lately, it is 75-78 during the day and we drop to 74 at night. Will be so glad when summer is gone - it is my second least favorite season (spring is first)!
