Well,,, i got a wallet....let me see whats inside....well bunch of junk...no cash....hmmm if theres no cash in the wallet...whats the sense in carrying around a purse full of junk.
There is a tube of lipstick...oh thats where that went...a tube of mascara....wow...thats gotta be full of cobwebs...I havent used mascara in probably 5 years....a phone bill from March 2004...oh wonder if I paid that....haha look at all them sunflower seeds....those must have been put there by the little birdie that sometimes talks to me when no ones around....
Well Ill be.....its amazing what you will find in MY PURSE.
Here is a scrap peice of fabric I was trying to find a contrasting fabric for way back last summer...a measuring tape...one of those little retractable ones that goes on your keychain that never stays on it. Oh theres a pack of Certs, about 20 packages of Splenda, a hair comb, kleenex, keys, Mini Suduko book, about 15 pens that I am sure12 of them are no longer working but I still have them in my purse...oh lookie here...theres a wheat back penny, a dime and 3 nickles...an mp3 player since my husband and I cannot for no reason agree on the same radio station in the car...he likes rock...i hate rock...i love country and oldies...he hates country and oldies...about 10 walmart receipts...oh theres a safeway receipt...oh and that must be some dust bunnies that have fallen in...here little fellas let me help you out......hehe and thats whats in my purse....Two check books,his and mind and I use them both
Two calulators,like I would recheck one with the other or something

Library cards for me and my grandkids when they are here

Thats the smart way. What is really funny is I also don't use my purse anymore it just sits over there on the end table collecting dust lol. I put my cell phone in one side of my bra and my little coin purse in the other side and I'm ready to go too. Hubby says that I am just like an old lady except that I don't shove kleenex in there. LOL

My wallet with my DL and insurance card and a debit and credit care and $23.00. Checkbook. 2 pens, change in the bottom, my Ipod and cell phone, carmex. That's it....Oh and my reader if they are not on my face.

The things in my purse are way too organized to be as fun and interesting as what was in yours. I keep it cleaned out every time I use it. BUT... You go girl, I loved reading what was in there hiding and showing what a full life you live.

About the same as yours but a little tissue pkg. some crushed crackers for the granbaby when we are out (that she will never eat)mints fot going to church, nail file,do have the tape measure too! husband was so shocked when we needed one in the store and I pulled it out. fabric scraps of course. paper with measurements for my dream cupboard. paint chip fo a room i painted pro. 10 years ago.oh the list goes on !!

Okay I just peeked in my purse. I have wallet, cell phone, cash & checkbook, credit cards & debit card, tissues, mints, Swiss Army knife, small brush, chap stick, 3 pens, Advill and a Key ring with 23 keys. Three of them I don't know what they go to but keep them in case I find out. Joanns flyer and list of what I hope to find at Joans that I can use some of 50% off coupns on.

besides my wallet/checkbook, drivers license, photos, credit cards I have coupons by the fistful. I have gift certificates to go to restaurants, lipstick, lip gloss, dental floss, ibuprofen, earplugs for when we go to the movies, keys, tissues, hair band, nail clippers, a dime and a penny, my cell phone, a sewing kit, and a gluten-free snack bar.

So cute,lets see I have wallet, checkbook, bunch of coupons, a little cash, a bunch of change, 1 large bottle of tylenol and 2 mints.

I seldom use a purse, I carry a thin billfold most of the time. I am too scatterbrained to keep track of my billfold let alone a purse. ( I do Like to make purses though )

I once won a prize on a Southwest flight for having the most lipsticks in my purse. There were 12 plus a chapstick. The flight attendant said I had failure to commit LOL

They used to just migrate from my vanity to my purse. Now I have permanent lips, brows and liner so I am much lower maintenance! Means I can go with a tiny bag with no room for the stuff that gets into a big one somehow :-)

sugar-free cough drops from the dollar store that I use as breath mints;
assorted receipts from the market, joann's, and walmart;

small palmful of change.

It's a crowded place.

Let's see. Chap stick, pen and note pad, cell phone,tape measure, migrain pills, insurance cards, debit and credit cards (don't carry cash) sun glasses. That's it, except for the dirt that collects in the bottom.

I wont bother to list the items in my purse. Suffice to say that I consider my purse the "Bermuda Triangle".. What goes in is never seen or heard from again. :)

I heard on the raido this morning, trivia thing, that the average weight for a woman's purse is 14 pounds! The radio host tested that by weighing two woman co-worker's purses -- one was only 6 lbs but the other one was 13.8 lbs!!

That must be one big purse to fit all that stuff! lol

I always keep a small purse so I don't have a lot of room to accumulate stuff!

I have a cell phone (wonder if it's charged? I never use that thing!), wallet (this only has a $2 bill), a small card wallet I made (this has about $30 in mad money), two pens (one goes in the car, how did that get in here?), chapstick, mini altoids, keys, eyedrops, and work badge. Oh, that little outside pocket has some old receipts. Not too bad.

I have tons of Joanne's coupons! My hubby and I are going on Friday.

Let me grab it, ok, my wallet, cosmetic bag w/powder lipstick and comb, water bill & truck payment that I need to pay on my way home, truck keys, pack of Emergen-C, Cinamon Altoids, and a bottle of xanax =)

Mine has my wallet with the usual, checkbook, company credit cards, debit card, reward cards from the various stores. Two pennies, an IOU from my son for ten bucks, four pens, chapstick, carmex, perfume, rosary, a saints medallion, multi purpose tool, mini straight razor, key chains, mint gum, certs, pill case, small tupperware container, crystal, spare pair of earrings and a pair of socks. hmmm wonder why I put socks in there!?

Deanna, your situation is what inspired me to declutter an inch at a time. I put my wallet in one pocket and my cell phone in the other. I only carry a purse or portfolio when I'm on a job. I don't have anything in it (except maybe a quilting magazine) but it makes me look professional, LOL!

Checkbook, address book, calendar, Staples reward coupons, Applebee's gift certificate, lens cloth(2), LQS punch card, hand lotion, hand sanitizer, pack of tissues, comb, glasses, driver's license, medicare and insurance cards, credit and debit cards, library card & other misc. id cards, artificial tears, lipstick, chapstick, carmex, pen, three peppermints, Burt's Bees lip balm cell phone, denture adhesive, $3.00 and change. I can't believe I got all of this my small purse! Also a few dust bunnies that I'm going to free.

I say that I've finally realized my heritage when I do that! Just like my grandmothers did before me... I try to keep as little as possible in my purse though don't always succeed. Especially because my dear husband can't remember to bring his reading glasses with him, he felt I should store an extra set for him in the purse. I have wallet, sunglasses in their case, pens, one lipstick, one lip gloss, dental floss, toothpicks in a case, my business cards in their case, extra car key, emery boards, mini flashlight (again, for DH in restaurants), hair elastic, and a bottle of feverfew tincture (in case of migraine). In the outside pockets, i have a brown bag for when I go mushroom shopping, extra plastic bags for dog walking, and a couple of tissues. In the other pocket, I have my subway metrocard and photographs. hmm..sounds like I have too much!

I would have to say I have the "kitchen sink" in my purse!

Among the usual things like the wallet, credit card holder and checkbook....mine holds a vast amount of necessary papers like instruction sheets for quilt projects so I won't forgot how much yardage to purchase. Then there photos of my family and the most precious is a handwritten letter from my daughter telling me how much she loves and appreciates me. I won't go anywhere without it.

Only the essentials of course! Let's see:

Wallet, keys, sunglasses, eyeglasses, lotion, contacts case, eye drops, hand sanitizer, lip balm, lip gloss, bluetooth, iPod, pocketknife, 2 ink pens, inhaler, nail clippers, keychain with 4 flashdrives, pocket calendar, checkbook, backup tape, bottle of ibuprofen, 5 bobbins for my "new" Singer 15-91, 2 packs of gum, 1 protein bar, small flashlight, 2 packets of Crystal Light, credit card& bank statements, paycheck, various other envelopes of ???, last weeks grocery list, and last but not least & most important of all - a gift certificate to my LQS!

Geeesh and I wonder why my purse is so heavy!!

Since this is a public forum, I will refrain from listing all the contents. I will note that I do have a very powerful chemical protection spray. Luckily I've had it out only once (walking from work to the local train station after dark).

Humm.....I have a wallet with the usual CC, health card, Debit...etc. exactly $1 and a bunch of coins. (sad really), IPOD shuffle, mints, keys, pay stub, business cards, medicine, and a lip gloss (never used), deck of cards, Joann's coupon, and a practice fabric origami I got from Guild meeting. Thats what I carry during the work week.

On the weekends...its bank card, drivers license and cell phone in one pocket and keys in the other and off I go.

Like most on here wallet with Health Card, Debit Card, photos of kids and grandkids, coupons, 5 pens (now I know where they all are), lip balm, check book, medication card, epipen, store cards (kohls, price choppers, borders, safeway, Albertsons), swiss army knife, baby aspirin, big key chain (I have no idea what all the keys are for)and when my husband is with me his wallet.
Its a small purse but things always tend to end up on the bottom of it.

In mine is wallet, credit/debit cards,checkbook,sandwich bag full of crayons,bandaids,Joann's flyer,grocery list,3 lists of yardage for quilts I plan on making(sure I will),2 pens 1 doesn't write but is so cute. There is also a novel for while I wait for the kids to get out of school.Oh, here's the go fish game we were looking for, it's good for waiting in restaurants. Assorted old reciepts from stores and a small binder of index cards. No wonder this thing is so heavy.

Five checkbooks, wallet, notebook with everything that is important to me written in it, glasses, DH's glasses, pill box with 5 kinds of OTC meds in case someone needs them, comb, tweezers and mirror (see pluck topic), lip balm, hand cream, floss, folding toothbrush and mini toothpaste, and so much more. Probably a thimble or two as well.
