I use a small bedroom to sew and I keep mostly everything else (I don't really have a stash) in bins on high shelves in the walkout basement so it is fairly even in humidity and temp. I vacuum up now and then. I dispensed with the ceiling fan for a little portable one because I could just see the small pieces blowing around.

People have cleaning schedules? I'm retired. I gave up working to enjoy myself.

Dust!? Only when I write my name and have to go over the same spot to get to the furniture. After this latest wind storm is over I will have to get out the bucket and rag, but it is under duress and only because I like to breathe.

While I really enjoyed and laughed at all the quips and jokes about cleaning, I have to say seriously that keeping my quilting space neat and tidy is of great importance to me. I can't work in a space that isn't clean and organized. This is also out of great necessity as my husband and both daughters suffer from asthma. Dust is a four letter word in our house.

I clean and vacuum after every project and only work on one project at a time. (the others that I am "working on" or dreaming of are in their containers waiting their turn......)

We just moved and I can't even find the floor in the room I'm going to use as a sewing room. Unfortunately the movers piled a lot of boxes, etc in that room instead of where it was supposed to go. It will take forever to get it organized.

I also work on multiple projects but do try to straighten up my sewing room whenever I complete a project. I just had to take my sewing machine in for a spa day and won't get it back for a week or so. When I got home I decided to tackle the sewing room. Everything that was on the floor or on the table was taken out of the room, everything remaining got dusted, washed (window and blinds) and vacuumed. Now in the process of putting everything away. Worked for about 4 hours yesterday and will finish up later today. I do a really good cleaning every spring.

I clean when I know someone is coming over AND, when husband remarks that the room needs a hard hat to enter.
The dogs have a bed in here and I have a TV & computer, bathroom is close, does need a small frig but no room. Oh well, can't have it all.
