We married January 1955, DH was in the Marines and scheduled to go to Korea where the war was winding down on. We were never 'officially engaged' but we knew we'd marry someday. 56 years later DH says it was the best decision he ever made, or most likely the one I made for him, LOL!

PS. He didn't get deployed as he expected, was in the States til Sept. and by then I was pregnant with our first son, Bob, who was born while DH was on a sub waiting to go to war with China.

Because my Mother told me he had alot of money! After marring him...... I told him what she said and he replied....Oh, I do have money it is just "not my money" it is the banks money! We still laugh about it after 32 years...

Seriously, I love my husband. We have spent 10 years together, almost 8 of them married. We have two wonderful children. He works so hard to support us and make us happy.
Jokingly, when he asked why I married him, I said, "Honey, I married you out of pity. I knew no other woman would tolerate you." We both had a good laugh.

We met and went on one date, then we both went on vacation, he called me twice while I was on vacation, we went out as soon as we were both back and he asked me to marry him (we knew each other only 1 1/2 weeks). We were married less than 1 year after we met and have had 30 wonderful years so far and looking forward to the next 30.

I married my boss. The first day I went to work he told me we would marry. I was engaged to someone else and said "Oh sure" We had a few dates and his boss found out and said one of us had to go, we both went. Him, back to college and me to a better job, broke my engagement and became engaged to him and we married one year later. We will celebrate 44 years in May.

I married my husband because we 'fit' - and 40 years later, through thick and thin, we still 'fit'.

Were there bells and whistles or shooting stars? Nope! It is still a good thing!

We celebrate 32 years this June :D

I have no idea. Temporary insanity. Just a snowball effect of circumstances.
In any event, we did, we are best friends, even if we divorced I don't think I could not have him in my life. He says he would be lost without me, I believe it! Been married for 8 yrs, this month
