There were people out running in shorts - We call the color of their legs Minnesota White. The most emaciating color in the world. Our roof cleared off yesterday with the sun so high and warm. Today, I am going to shovel snow into the alley to protect our driveway wall - I do that every year. By 4:00 PM, it will all be melted in the alley. But the melting and freezing is all a harbinger of Spring! And we can't wait for that. I let the dog on the porch yesterday and she jumped up on the couch and looked out the window and watched the world go by. She was in her glory. It is kind of an itchy time isn't it. You know that it is almost over. Another month and 1/2. This time, if you think about it, has gone fast. I am sending away for some flower seeds this week.

Oh, yah, we have high school tournaments in March - Wrestling, Basketball (boys and girls) and Hockey (boys and girls) and there is always a storm during one of the tourneys. Another harbinger of Spring. We don't go by February, March and April, we go by Super Bowl, high school tournaments and who saw the first dandelion!!!!!!! Or fly!!!!!

Think Spring, everybody - it is around the corner, trying awfully hard to get here. Edie

Actually seen fly's while walking the "pug" earlier, & we are to be in mid to high 60 today....maybe spring is on the way

Agree, it has been a cold winter. Looking forward to the 50's and above. It could be in the 70's year around for me.

I am in central IN and I heard on the TV that we have had measurable snow on the ground for over 35 days. I think the fact that once it snowed and turned cold...it has just simply stayed that way! It was in the upper 30s yesterday and today and has melted a considerable amount of snow. And, we are to be close to 60 by the end of the week. It will be just enough to 'tease' us...they are saying snow by next Monday.

what she said. Although we planted our Spring tomatoes last weekend.

Here in central TX our power went out and our pipes froze and burst and we were without water for 4 days. Cost more than a little bit of money to get all that fixed. That isn't exactly why we left the North country a few yrs ago.

Did I mention that prednisone can make me a little grumpy?;)

It doesn't make me grumpy, it makes me hungry, gives me the munchies big time.

I think the whole world is fed up with all the terrible weather that everyone has had. But in a few months we will have all forgotten about it (I hope)!!!

It's seasonal! Cold in winter, hot in summer.

Because it has been cold so long! It got down a little below freezing two times last week, I hibernated.
