I here Ya... I hate ironing clothes and the same goes for when someone asks me to mend something for them or alter a piece of clothing. I just say NO! and leave it at that.

I think it's because quilting and everything that goes along with it is fun to us because it's our hobby.

I don't mind ironing clothes, but, as much as I like sewing quilt tops, and even clothing, I hate mending. So I understand what you are saying. They are not the same thing. The end of one task is very different than the end of the other task. So, just because you like one, doesn't mean you will like the other.

I told my husband before we got married that if he was looking for a "Domestic Goddess" - look elsewhere. He just accepts that I don't do some chores and either takes his stuff to the cleaners or does it himself.

Naturally, the difference between pressing and ironing. The first is for our art and the second is a chore.
