OOOOO I know this one.............YES it does!! and you want to know how I know??? I was at our cabin in the woods one day and a ways away a tree fell and I heard it AND I KNOW the tree had NO idea I was there. So that is how I know it does!!!!

dégueulasse in French - that's the vulgar way and in Dutch - walgelijk - the second is pronounced in the back of your throat - I can't say it myself! The middle g is like the ch in Scots - chchchchc!

The thing with Dutch is that all the normal words sound rude and all the rude words sound normal! :shock:

The French say 'mercredi' which means wednesday (!) but starts with the same letters as 'merde' which means sh....t! Like us saying 'sugar'! And 'punaisse' which means thumb tack but starts with the same letters as the rudest French word which means 'prostitute' - not so bad in English but I can't type the French here - it would be the equivalent of the eff word! :shock:

I go "caving" a bit...and come back and kitties gone more wild*, some hitting the prune juice and enlisting the mob...and all other willing volunteers are being 'tuted'...tee hee hee....in swears!!! :shock:

nuther good and perfectly innocent French one - even Lily can say it - 'mince'! (pronounced 'maaans') just means 'thin' but is an expression of dismay, like if you drop something for eg!

Dutch word - 'belagalijk' pronounced 'bell-ach-a-lick' make the ch in your throat like Scottish - means 'ridiculous' but sounds great said with expression! :mrgreen:

I thought 'va te faire voir' just meant 'go make yourself see' - I haven't heard it used in a rude way, but I'll ask Hans later. There's va t'en which just means buzz off! And I had a book of French idioms for my birthday - there are some great expressions like for fainting they say 'tomber dans les pommes' and 'tu me casse les pieds ' - you're really p...ing me off!'and to be puzzled is 'avoir l'air d'une poule qui a trouvé un couteau'! :D
